Re: [Frameworks] Looking for 16mm projectors

2019-01-16 Thread c b
Thanks all,

We are 6 hours south of Chicago, so I'll ck out Urbanski and Full Aperture.
Dominic, what's the weight of the Pageant? Email me off line with the specifics
please.

I believe we've received all the unused equipment from other departments.
Problem is the person who repaired our film equipment left years ago.

St Louis is a couple hours away. Any equipment repair or refurbished film
equipment recommendations located there?

In answer to your questions scott, one was a theatre projector we used to
screen rented prints - very good condition with a decent lens. The others were
classroom projectors used to screen educational films ( we have a stash from
our library) and experiments. Not sure what I can spend on replacements.

Couldn't believe it when I walked into the screening space and they were all
gone!

[Frameworks] Looking for 16mm projectors

2019-01-15 Thread c b
Greetings all,

I teach experimental film at SIU and somehow our three 16mm projectors were
either surplused by accident or stolen - very upsetting! I am looking for
recommendations for sources for decent projectors. Purchasing from e-bay is a
bit problematic for university purchasing.

Thanks-

[Frameworks] equipment repair

2012-02-14 Thread c b

Can someone recommend a good person to repair analog equipment?

For starters: we're looking for someone who can repair Super 8 projectors(our
TRV transfer projector) and possibly fashion a 20 pin cable for our 16mm
analyzer projector (went missing last semester.) We're located in the midwest
but will ship.

Thanks
