Re: [Frameworks] T.A.T.V streaming experiment
Thank you all for your responses! we had a good time and you can still watch the stream archive here: https://www.twitch.tv/ttaattvv It is very big chunks of video, so not very handy to watch a specific thing yet, I will do some cleanup of that soon.. Oh yes, the TAZ to TV: I used the title both as an inspiration for a initial discussion about what streaming is and could be, but also as a humoristic provocation towards the original TAZ concept. What I felt stayed true to the TAZ was the 3 day gathering (in a socially distanced safe way) of artists in these times: People just briefly saw other people before and after their performance. In times where a lot of artists are cut off their usual social practices of meeting other people and networking (while touring, playing shows, festivals, etc.) everyone was very enthusiastic of performing in a safe way and also seeing and talking to some fellow artists. Of the stream itself I thought of as "a good excuse" to do that. But then also there were people engaging and / or leaving the stream running while being at home , as a living room extension so to speak.. some first thoughts about this experiment we would like to repeat in fall / winter. thank you and all the best, kris On 21.07.20 10:21, Francisco Torres wrote: > ''...T.A.T.V. is an > autonomous zone to test drive a micro republic of experimental > performance practices...'' > > I wonder what Hakim Bey (L. [Frameworks] T.A.T.V streaming experiment
Though this is not strictly experimental film (more experimental TV...), this might be of interest to some of you: T.A.T.V. is a 3 day streaming experiment, starting tomorrow at 12pm CET and streamed here: https://www.twitch.tv/ttaattvv “When the crisis of human relationships shattered the unitary web of mythical communication, the attack on language took on a revolutionary air.” Raoul Vaneigem Leaving format dogmas and time constraints behind T.A.T.V. is an autonomous zone to test drive a micro republic of experimental performance practices, a T.V. station touching its limits of control. Temporary Autonomous Television (T.A.T.V.) is a 3 day constant stream. Rendering absurd profitableness and commodification of art as an easy consumable product in our optimized lifestyles is one of the objectives of this undertaking. artists: Rieko Okuda Hopek Quirin & Samin Son Botborg Lisa Müller-Trede Seiji Morimoto Agente Costura Sofia Salvo Lea Walloschke Lun Ário and GubbiAnn Alice Cannava More tba crew: Mariana Hoyos More tba A project by Kris Limbach https://ausland-berlin.de/tatv fb event: https://www.facebook.com/events/2550184541962118/ -- www.krislimbach.com ___ FrameWorks mailing list FrameWorks@jonasmekasfilms.com https://mailman-mail5.webfaction.com/listinfo/frameworks
