I don't specifically have it documented anywhere but there is a bunch of it
in this film:

at around 1:30 and 3:45 and throughout.  it's the only added effect so
anywhere you see anything that isn't just hand-processing, it's the salt.

He does a summer camp in the San Juan Island, and
I believe they use salt water in the processing.
