Any lab that can process 16mm can process standard 8mm. Just get a 16mm to 8mm film slitter slice the two ends together when you get it back: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Al-Spoil-film-slitter-cut-any-film-down-any-size-/160703420942Ed-Original Message- From: Pablo Marin <pamari...@yahoo.com> Sent: Dec 22, 2011 8:00 AM To: Experimental Film Discussion List <frameworks@jonasmekasfilms.com> Subject: Re: [Frameworks] Single 8 processing ThanksTarık,Ekrem, their website only list Super 8, but I will check it out.I also heard that Labor Berlin handprocess Fuji Single 8... but I'm trying to find some place more professional/industrial (if any).best,pablo.--- On Thu, 12/22/11, Tarık Aktaş trq1...@gmail.com wrote:From: Tarık Aktaş trq1...@gmail.comSubject: Re: [Frameworks] Single 8 processingTo: "Experimental Film Discussion List" frameworks@jonasmekasfilms.comDate: Thursday, December 22, 2011, 11:48 AMHi Pablo,I hope that will help.PS : Maksat arkadaşın işi görülsün :)22 Aralık 2011 14:14 tarihinde Ekrem Serdar ekremser...@gmail.com yazdı: Hey Tarık (and all)The Noyans send their films off to Andec, and I'm pretty sure they focus on Super 8. Re: [Frameworks] Single 8 processing
not quite: It has a polyester base that is thinner than the Kodak films, so splicing the two formats together in a finished film may require adjustment of the projector's focus at the join. Fuji's Single-8 developing process is not the same as Process EM-26, but close. There is more involved in the removal of the remjet antihalation backing than the now long discontinued KodakEktachrome Process EM-26 films. The color chemistry while close, is a bit different, particularly the Color Developer. --- On Thu, 12/22/11, Steven Gladstone ste...@gladstonefilms.com wrote: From: Steven Gladstone ste...@gladstonefilms.com Subject: Re: [Frameworks] Single 8 processing To: Experimental Film Discussion List frameworks@jonasmekasfilms.com Date: Thursday, December 22, 2011, 2:32 PM On 12/22/11 11:01 AM, Pablo Marin wrote: Thanks Ed, but I'm referring to Single 8 : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Single-8 Isn't Single 8 the same format as Super 8, just packaged differently? -- Steven Gladstone New York Based Cinematographer Gladstone films Blog - http://indiekicker.reelgrok.com/ http://www.blakehousemovie.com http://www.gladstonefilms.com 917-886-5858 ___ FrameWorks mailing list FrameWorks@jonasmekasfilms.com https://mailman-mail5.webfaction.com/listinfo/frameworks ___ FrameWorks mailing list FrameWorks@jonasmekasfilms.com https://mailman-mail5.webfaction.com/listinfo/frameworks
