Re: [Frameworks] OPTICAL PRINTER JK 104 ( Need help to repair it)

2017-01-02 Thread Chris G
Hi Luis,

I don't have any schematics specific to the 104 but I do have some stuff that
he did around that time that are similar circuits. I am traveling right now
without much wifi access but please send me an email and I'll forward those to
you. I would recommend replacing any ICs you can find replacements for as
another way to troubleshoot. Some of those ICs are hard to find now but if
there's a 555 maybe try replacing that first.

Cheers,
Chris

[Frameworks] International Call Out

2017-01-02 Thread Matthew Nevin
The Core Project Call Out 2017

The Core Project - an international Art
Project is seeking participants around the world to become part of a global
art experiment.

The Core Project is a contemporary visual art project, led by
Artist/Curator Matthew Nevin . The project
will feature 200+ Videos; that will be showcased online, through an
experimental film, and in a large scale installation
in September 2017 in RUA RED
 Gallery Dublin.

Each video contains a single person representing all of the sovereign
states of the world responding to a secret question. These participants are
provided instructions on how to film, including the previously unseen
question which they do not view until filming has begun. Furthermore this
question will only ever be revealed to the participants of the project.

The project focuses on the accumulation of an ephemeral art public,
analysing the process of each of the participants understanding of the
question, exploring their visual set up [how they set up the camera, their
‘visual scene’], their method and practice in participating in the project.

The Core Project’s activities and participation aim to create an inclusive,
international art public. It is the goal of the project to operate as a
social and cultural experiment in assessing “participation in political
activity”. This method of everyday participation and utilization of
artistic political engagement is essential to the project’s inclusive
strategy. (Deutsche, 1998, p.288, Evictions: Art and Spatial Politics.)

Check out www.thecoreproject.net
for more details and to submit an application.

Enquiries made to m...@thecoreproject.net

Deadline: The application process is rolling, decisions are made as and
when videos are submitted. • If a correct, appropriate and complete video
is submitted from a country they will be chosen as the participant.

[Frameworks] Looking for 16mm Projectors in Scotland

2017-01-02 Thread Erin Weisgerber
I am looking to rent 3 x 16mm projectors in Edinburgh or elsewhere in
Scotland from about February 27 to March 7, 2017 to be used in a looping
installation.

I am hoping to find projectors in Scotland rather than try to transport
projectors from Montreal, Canada, where I am based, and deal with the
shipping and power transformation concerns. I'm looking for coops,
collectives, or individuals who may be able to rent these projectors. If
anyone could point me in the right direction it would be a great help!

Ideally, I would use matching slot-load projectors. I have been using Elmo
SL's with 50mm f1.2 lenses. I have a set of 3 lamps that I use only for
this project so that the lamps have the same life and the colour
temperature matches.

So ideally I would use 3 x Elmo SL projectors with matching prime lenses,
but I could use matching zoom lenses or possibly bring my own lenses. I
could also use other projectors if I couldn't find 3 Elmos.

Thanks in advance for your time and any suggestions you may be able to give!

Erin
