Re: [Frameworks] Presenting a native ultraPan8 projector.
Hi Nick, your work on this is terrific! You might find original 'Span 8' cameras in Switzerland. Apparently a TV company was interested in it as a viable commercial format. Martin Baumgarten describes past uses of this kind of format in the end of his article here: http://lavender.fortunecity.com/lavender/569/8mmfilmgauges.html I tried it once too, but your's is beautifully sharp, mine makes really soft images. Thank you everyone who gave tips. Sounds like I just need to give it a shot and try to match the speeds as much as possible. Amazing to hear you can do blow ups Graeme. I'll defo be asking you more about that in the near future! Re: [Frameworks] Ektachrome or 16mm color reversal
Hi Presumably Kahl, http://www.kahlfilm.de/, is the place to go now, but Fuji still make Velvia right? so Cinevia is still an option. http://www.cinevia.eu/, I hope they start to sell it in 400'/30m loads. The artists' fee is low but there is a little money, travel and accommodation available for an artist or a team of up to 4 people to join us for a month and realise an idea with help from a large international volunteer labour force. This will need to happen over March/April time. The travel budget aims this at Europeans but we'll consider and try to accommodate any proposal we really like.
