[FUG-BR] COSS (Cyclic Object Storage System)

Alguem já instalou ou já ouviu falar no COSS (Cyclic Object Storage System)
do squid? 
Estou tentando instalar aqui, tem fazer como nesse tutorial que eu achei
http://wiki.squid-cache.org/Features/CyclicObjectStorageSystem
mas da erro o tempo todo.
Não diz se tenho que mudar alguma coisa no KERNEL.
Se alguem tiver alguma ideia de como implatar esse serviço eu agradeço.
