ACPI Issues in FreeBSD 5.0-DP2

2002-12-23 Thread Jeremiah Gowdy
I am currently testing FreeBSD 5.0-DP2 on my Sony Vaio FX-210 laptop. I am
having some error messages from the ACPI driver, so I figured I would report
them just in case. If anyone needs any more information, perhaps more
verbose debug output or something, please let me know.

I am getting the following messages repeatedly at startup.

ACPI-0432: *** Error: Handler for [EmbeddedControl returned AE_ERROR
ACPI-1287: *** Error: Method execution failed, AE_AML_NO_RETURN_VALUE

When I hit the sleep button on my computer I get:

acpi0: AcpiGetSleepTypeDate failed - AE_NOT_FOUND

This is the output of acpidump:

OpenBSD dirpref/softupdates code

2001-05-31 Thread Jeremiah Gowdy

I have been told that the OpenBSD code that is supposed to speed up some
types of file system access up to 60x, has been committed to -current on
4/30. I'm wondering if there's any idea when it will be committed to
-stable? Are their any stability issues with the code?
