Compaq Armada E500 - 5.1 install failure

2003-07-04 Thread Antal Rutz
Does anyone happened to install a fresh 5.1 on Compaq Armada E500?
I have the following errors:
with ACPI:
(Stopping after the line:)
Mounting from ufs:/dev/md0

And it seems (almost)nothing was discovered among the devices
(more times on the screen: 'acpi_bus_number: can't get _ADR')
(Power profile change works when unplugging the power cord)

Without ACPI:
Panic during 'Probing devices' screen. (/:filesystem full)
on the other console:
'Signal 11 caught! That's bad!'
(sysinstall) uid 0 inode 60 on /: filesystem full
(sysinstall) uid 0 exited: signal 4
init died (signal 4)

Sorry if it was already mentioned, the serch engine on the website
doesn't seem to work at the moment.

5.1 install failure

2003-06-11 Thread Petri Helenius
I´m booting 5.1 install in IBM x342 with floppies (because the thing does not seem to
want
to boot from the CD-ROM) and when sysinstall goes into probing devices, I get a message
about / filesystem being full and I´m going nowhere without my init and then the
kernel
panics.

Any ideas how to proceed?

Pete
