SUPFLAGS in /etc/make.conf
I submit that putting "-z" in here is silly, because the sample cvsup config files turn on compression, and suggest commenting it out if you have a fast link. It seems counterintuitive that one can comment out the compression in the standard supfiles and then have it enabled by default with "make update" anyway.
