Not just  /usr/src/cddl/usr.bin/ctfconvert
also need /usr/src/cddl/usr.bin/ctfmerge

​You need comment out the following line in GENRIC kernel conf file:
makeoptions WITH_CTF=1  # Run ctfconvert(1) for DTrace
support​
