This is pre-production hardware and this type of behavior is generally expected 
due the hardware debugging that is enabled in both the HW itself and UEFI/IFWI.

A very similar situation here with a Intel NUC5CPYH. I circumvent the problem
by  setting in /boot/device.hints "hint.sdhci_pci.0.disabled=1" as a
workaround.
