Yes, I agree it's a PITA. I believe that in the near future the patch will be
added to the official ports tree or even upstream (TBH, I don't understand the
essence of the problem very well). Until then, if you don't want to patch
Firefox locally, an easier workaround was suggested here in comment #9.

Regarding CPUTYPE?=native. I saw advice on the FreeBSD forum that it's better
to specify your CPUTYPE explicitly (see /usr/share/examples/etc/make.conf)
because "native" doesn't seem to work as expected.

Seems like a PITA for user to have to do, i use CPUTYPE?=native, evefything
works except for FF.
