I used my own creation that at some point could replace burncd, but for now it is just a skunkworks project (and no I wont hand out copies :) ) I would think that growisofs will work (I do have an ATA version of that somewhere IIRC). Burncd support DVD+R to some extent, depends on burner doing what I think it should. But as you might infer from the above I'm thinking of changing that :) -Søren ___ [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-hackers To unsubscribe, send any mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Wilko Bulte wrote: Any experiences with a NEC ND-2510 ? Good/bad? I just bought one of these wrapped in an IDE-USB/Firewire interface. I haven't tried the dual-layer disks yet (none lying around), but it appears to work just fine with regular DVD+R. The only gotcha is that USB is really too slow; I'll be connecting it via firewire shortly. Otherwise, no problems so far. -- Frank Mayhar [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.exit.com/ Exit Consulting http://www.gpsclock.com/ http://www.exit.com/blog/frank/ ___ [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-hackers To unsubscribe, send any mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

W/ -- Wilko Bulte [EMAIL PROTECTED] I have a ND-1100A, and it has been working great with the modified firmware. The 1100A only burns +R discs, but it has worked great for me so far; I don't think that it has burned a single coaster yet. However, I have only used it under Windows, I can't speak for its FreeBSD compatibility. If I was to upgrade, I would definitely choose another NEC burner. (Which is funny, because I bought the original because it was the cheapest one for sale at a local store at the time. Only after I got it home and out of the box did I find out that it was a rebranded NEC. I'm lucky that I didn't get a piece of junk!)
