Since I'll be away in the next week, I'm going to commit this patchset
in April.

Removed ports:

databases/php5-dbase
graphics/php5-ming
devel/php5-ncurses
security/php5-mhash
devel/php5-pcre
devel/php5-spl

Update instructions (choose one of them):

1) remove all php ports and all ports that depends on php,
then reinstall your the php applications

2) deinstall the removed ports,
then upgrade recursively the lang/php5 port

To apply the patch (to a fresh ports tree):

cd /usr/ports patch -p1 -E ~/php53.diff

Please, fix small FreeBSD port error. In the tomcat-6.0.24 rc.d script

This is the wrong way to fix it, you should create a patch using the
tomcat_check_pidfile() rc function.

Could someone look at http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=144863

It's only been a week since it was assigned to the maintainer (girgen@)
to look at.

It's too soon for a maintainer timeout, although I suppose if this is
considered to be an enormous security risk it could be committed without
waiting.

I'd say that's a decision for portmgr@ to make.

FreeBSD Port: assp-1.5.1.2_4

2010-03-25 Thread Miro Voutilainen

Hi

Are you thinking of upgrading this release to 1.7.x.x soon?
I am running 1.7.x.x successfully on several installations (linux).
I would like to upgrade my bsd's to latest version also.

Thank you.

I'd say go ahead and commit it. We often waive the two-week period for
security problems.

Exchange ActiveSync account

2010-03-25 Thread Jack Raats

Hi,

I have an Exchange ActiveSync account and I would like to get this mail on
my freebsd 7.3-stable server.
I donn't haven an imap or pop account, only the information of the
activesync account.

Can anyone give me a clue how to achieve this?

Thanks for your time!

Take a look at DavMail Gateway[1]. It is not in ports nor have I tried
it. I keep it bookmarked in case I work somewhere that only has
Exchange without IMAP enabled.

Yes, abandon this proprietary account in favor of something using published
Internet RFC standards.

As far as I can tell from 30 seconds with the wikipedia entry, there are no
freely available implementations which would run on FreeBSD. You can pay for
the Outlook connector to Zimbra, which runs on Linux and MacOSX

help with converting from configure to cmake (devel/allegro)

2010-03-25 Thread Eitan Adler
I'm currently the maintainer of devel/allegro which, due to my lack of
time, is very outdated.
The allegro team switched to cmake for the recent version. I do not
know how to enable/disable specific options with cmake in the ports
system.
I attached the Makefile I am currently using (which builds perfectly
without any options enabled). I'm looking for the correct way to
change the configure_args to something that will actually work.

If anyone notices anything else of importance please let me know.
Portlint finds no problems.

default binutils - linker 2.15 versus 2.20

2010-03-25 Thread CeDeROM
Hello world!

I have problems building applications requiring ld 2.20 (located at
/usr/local/bin) where ld 2.15 (located at /usr/bin) is being invoked
with c++ (gcc4.2.1). Why there are two linkers on the system? Is it
possible to update the default linker to version 2.20?

Please advise,
Tomek Cedro
