No one is maintaining it so I am writing here. Current version in ports is 2.0 (very outdated). Current live version in 4.0. OpenVAS 4.0 is quite different so some of the old ports need to be removed or reworked. As of now in ports are these: security/openvas-client 2.0.4_2 security/openvas-libnasl 2.0.1_2 security/openvas-libraries 2.0.3 security/openvas-plugins 1.0.7_2 security/openvas-server 2.0.2_2 The new pieces are: Libraries 4.0.3 Scanner 3.2.3 Manager 2.0.2 Administrator 1.1.1 GSA 2.0.1 GSD 1.1.1 / 1.2.0 They can be downloaded directly from http://www.openvas.org/ under the download section. Each has to be installed on its own. On second thought, this is a glaring POLA problem. My desire to simplify the port is not worth the churn this is causing to users. I will be reverting this portion of the update shortly and removing the UPDATING entry as it will no longer be valid.
