FreeBSD ports you maintain which are out of date

2013-09-19 Thread portscout
Dear port maintainer,

The portscout new distfile checker has detected that one or more of your
ports appears to be out of date. Please take the opportunity to check
each of the ports listed below, and if possible and appropriate,
submit/commit an update. If any ports have already been updated, you can
safely ignore the entry.

You will not be e-mailed again for any of the port/version combinations
below.

Full details can be found at the following URL:
http://portscout.freebsd.org/po...@freebsd.org.html

Port| Current version | New version
+-+
deskutils/ganyremote| 6.2 | 6.3.1
+-+
emulators/qmc2  | 0.39| 0.40
+-+

If any of the above results are invalid, please check the following page
for details on how to improve portscout's detection and selection of
distfiles on a per-port basis:

http://portscout.freebsd.org/info/portscout-portconfig.txt

If wish to stop receiving portscout reminders, please contact
portsc...@freebsd.org

Thanks.

Yup, I just tested this and it does fix it, and some other failures.

I will update the package builder hosts this weekend.

I will also reinstall the 83amd64 jail as it seems to be corrupted.

[HEADS UP] Tcl/Tk moves to the USES framework

2013-09-19 Thread Pietro Cerutti
All,

as of r327607 [1], Tcl/Tk ports can use the new USES framework, as
described in [2].

We (tcltk@) could use your help to transition from the deprecated
USE_TCL and USE_TK variables to the new framework.

For this, I have set up a wiki page at [3] to help coordinate the
efforts. There are currently 235 ports that need an update. If you
happen to be the maintainer of one of these ports, please consider
updating it and move the corresponding row from the Ports to convert
to the Ports already converted table in the Wiki, or just send in a
patch and ask tcltk@ do the job :)

Thank you very much for your help!

Pietro

Gimp package?

2013-09-19 Thread grarpamp
Hi. I see that a gimp port exists so I went to try the gimp package
but could not find it in the stable i386 package branches on
the FTP server, or in say 9 stable amd64. Is there a problem
building or distributing it to FTP or am I missing something?
The release packages are usually rather old so I use stable.
Thanks.

Fwd: [REL - 83i386-default][x11-toolkits/py-kivy] Failed for py27-kivy-1.7.1 in build

2013-09-19 Thread David Naylor

Hi All,

Could someone please help me with this. It doesn't make any sense.

I have isolated the issue to building on i386 under old Xorg (libGL v7). This
does not happen when using new Xorg (libGL v8 - WITH_NEW_XORG), nvidia libGL
or under amd64.

If I run ldd(1) on kivy/graphics/opengl.so it finds all the required libraries
and doesn't complain about the unresolved symbol. grep(1) also confirms that
the missing symbol is present in libGL.h and GL/gl.h.

I could add to the Makefile:

.if !defined(WITH_NEW_XORG)
NOT_FOR_ARCHS=  i386
NOT_FOR_ARCHS_REASON= Does not compile with old libGL under i386, either \
use amd64 or -DWITH_NEW_XORG
.endif

so solve the issue but I would prefer a proper solution, if possible.

Regards

All,

as of r327607 [1], Tcl/Tk ports can use the new USES framework, as
described in [2].

If you're going to ask us port maintainers to do this sort of thing, it
would be nice if you first put the file in /usr/ports/Mk/Uses.

/usr/ports]# portsnap update
Ports tree is already up to date.

/usr/ports]# find /usr/ports/Mk/Uses -name tcl.mk
/usr/ports]# ls /usr/ports/Mk/Uses/
ada.mk			cmake.mk		fmake.mk		gmake.mk		motif.mk		perl5.mk		readline.mk
	zenoss.mk
bison.mk		desktop-file-utils.mk	fuse.mk			iconv.mk		ncurses.mk
	pkgconfig.mk		shared-mime-info.mk

 Thanks.

I have gimp installed under 9.1, amd64, built from ports and it works
great. I don't know about packages, however.

[PATCH] emulators/virtualbox-ose-kmod in 10-current

Hi

Virtualbox-4.2.18 kernel module doesn't want to compile on 10-current:

There was a change in vm_map_find() in revision r255426 (one parameter
has been added), patch:

applying:
# cd /usr/ports/emulators/virtualbox-ose-kmod

# patch  virtualbox-4_2_18.patch

libc++ differences between 9.2 and 10.0

2013-09-19 Thread Shane Ambler

I'm Starting to look at fixing my ports to build on 10.0 and there
appears to be a difference between 9.2 and 10.0 when it comes to using
libc++

The first port I am looking at is graphics/opencolorio. a patch was
submitted (ports/182220) that works fine on 10.0 but it breaks 9.2 build
when using clang with -
error: no type named 'shared_ptr' in namespace 'std'

The patch is simple, just adding -

#elif __cplusplus = 199711
#include memory
#define OCIO_SHARED_PTR std::shared_ptr
#define OCIO_DYNAMIC_POINTER_CAST std::dynamic_pointer_cast

As far as I can see both 10.0 and 9.2 use the same contrib/libc++
contents but I don't see why 9.2 isn't finding std::shared_ptr

The other thing is I don't think testing __cplusplus is the right way to
go but don't see an alternative. __cplusplus is defined in clang
irrespective of the library used so isn't really a reliable test.

Are there any defines to easily test for std::shared_ptr or is that a
test I need to create for configure or cmake - has already been done?
