There's a whole bunch of problem reports for some cups, and
we're missing someone to really look into those. Difficult
issue.

I was hoping, these problems would go away after the recent rework of
cups ports, but it seems, it only got worse. Not just AVAHI, DBUS, and
X11 can lead to a circular dependency during a portupgrade.

Also, cups-filters is required for something as simple as printing a
text/plain, but conflicts with foomatic-filters -- which provides
support for additional printers.

If someone found the time and the energy to rework cups-ports, why are
these problems still remaining?

FreeBSD ports you maintain which are out of date

2016-04-29 Thread portscout
Dear port maintainer,

The portscout new distfile checker has detected that one or more of your
ports appears to be out of date. Please take the opportunity to check
each of the ports listed below, and if possible and appropriate,
submit/commit an update. If any ports have already been updated, you can
safely ignore the entry.

You will not be e-mailed again for any of the port/version combinations
below.

Full details can be found at the following URL:
http://portscout.freebsd.org/po...@freebsd.org.html

Port| Current version | New version
+-+
databases/py-apsw | 3.11.1 | 3.12.2-r1
+-+
lang/sbcl | 1.3.1 | 1.3.5
+-+

If any of the above results are invalid, please check the following page
for details on how to improve portscout's detection and selection of
distfiles on a per-port basis:

http://portscout.freebsd.org/info/portscout-portconfig.txt

Thanks.

Mmm, no, you want WITH_BDB_VER, though changing it to DEFAULT_VERSIONS
could be a good idea.
