Taking a quick look, u_int and u_char are not defined POSIX types, but are
BSD types defined in sys/types.h. /usr/include/arpa/nameser.h does include
sys/types.h, so should be fine. This typically means that something, some
dependency, is interfering and causing these types to not be found and
poudriere, since it does a clean build, does not hit this issue.

I did quickly look at the source files to see where sys/types.h or some
other code that would define u_char and u_int might be found, but came up
empty. I'd be curious there they are defined in a poudriere build. I see
only . and /usr/local/include listed in the compile line. Tracking these
things down can be painful. I'm afraid and I will not claim to be great at
it.

2019-04-18 Thread Jakob Breivik Grimstveit
I get a lot of garbled debug output in rtorrent completely blocking
anything useful to see, probably after restarting rtorrent and after
having upgraded to latest ports version of xmlrpc-c. Is there anything
I can do to fix this?

If I build from the ports tree, I can reproduce the problem.

I have no solution right now besides the suggestion to build
in poudriere 8-}

port configuration diff with defaults

2019-04-18 Thread @lbutlr
Is there a way to check if a port is using the default config (make config) and
if not, to see the differences between the default config and the ports current
config?

missing dependency

2019-04-18 Thread @lbutlr
pkg: dovecot has a missing dependency: mariadb100-client
pkg: postfix-current has a missing dependency: mariadb100-client
pkg: net-snmp has a missing dependency: mariadb100-client
pkg: rsyslog has a missing dependency: mariadb100-client
pkg: p5-DBD-mysql has a missing dependency: mariadb100-client

This is correct, as I had to move to mariadb102-cloent, but why aren't the
other packages up=dated with the new version.

I have recently (yesterday) updated all packages.

FreeBSD ports you maintain which are out of date

2019-04-18 Thread portscout
Dear port maintainer,

The portscout new distfile checker has detected that one or more of your
ports appears to be out of date. Please take the opportunity to check
each of the ports listed below, and if possible and appropriate,
submit/commit an update. If any ports have already been updated, you can
safely ignore the entry.

You will not be e-mailed again for any of the port/version combinations
below.

Full details can be found at the following URL:
http://portscout.freebsd.org/po...@freebsd.org.html

Port| Current version | New version
+-+
biology/libsbml | 5.17.0 | 5.18.0
+-+
databases/plpgsql_check | 1.2.0 | v1.7.0
+-+

If any of the above results are invalid, please check the following page
for details on how to improve portscout's detection and selection of
distfiles on a per-port basis:

http://portscout.freebsd.org/info/portscout-portconfig.txt

Thanks.

RE: dns/dsc on FreeBSD 11.2-p9 and 12.0

2019-04-18 Thread Philippe Maechler
Hello Kurt

Thank you for your reply and the check with poudriere

I tried building the port with portmaster and from the ports tree directly
with make, make install

portmaster build log: https://pastebin.com/6sKicyvB

from ports tree: https://pastebin.com/39g0U1a0

In 11.2 I had perl 5.26 and python2 installed --> dsc failed to build

I then upgraded to 12.0 default version in make.conf where set to python2
and perl 5.26 --> dsc failed to build

Now I removed the default_version tag in make.conf and upgraded perl to 5.28
and python to version 3

pmaechler@dns2:/usr/ports/dns/dsc # cat /etc/make.conf

#DEFAULT_VERSIONS+=perl5=5.28

pmaechler@dns2:/usr/ports/dns/dsc # freebsd-version

12.0-RELEASE-p3

pmaechler@dns2:/usr/ports/dns/dsc #

Best regards

dns/dsc builds fine in poudriere on 13, 12.0, 11.2 for me.

Can you tell more about the way you built it ?

Can you put a build log somewhere on a server ?
