The approach would be to check first what your automated "pkg upgrade"
would do (there is a dry-run option, pkg upgrade -n) and then have it
balk if any uninstalls would happen, or otherwise proceed. Someone more
knowledgable about pkg might know a more efficient way.

Ok, that's fine. I can wait quite a bit and pull down
the update when the fix lands.

I was previously somewhat tempted, occasionally, to automate
the weekly 'pkg upgrade' but in this case that would have been
a big oops.

Many thanks for the quick pointer. I love FreeBSD poudriere
+ pkg.

Cheers,
Russell

Hi Russel,

There is a PR opened already:

https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=249448

You could try the patch or wait until x11/nvidia-driver* is updated.

HTH,
Rainer

mesa-libs: Add glesv1 lib

There is no real reason to disable glesv1 so add it to the build.
While here add a USE_GL for it.

g1-48(12.2-S)[4] pkg which /usr/local/lib/libGLESv1_CM.so
/usr/local/lib/libGLESv1_CM.so was installed by package nvidia-driver-440.100

So when graphics/mesa-libs is updated to r548950, it builds & stages
OK, but:

===>  Installing for mesa-libs-19.0.8_3
===> Registering installation for mesa-libs-19.0.8_3 as automatic
Installing mesa-libs-19.0.8_3...
pkg-static: mesa-libs-19.0.8_3 conflicts with nvidia-driver-440.100 (installs
files into the same place). Problematic file: /usr/local/lib/libGLESv1_CM.so
*** Error code 70

How should this be resolved?

Thanks.

Peace,
david

I have the same problem.

Port uploaded for review (was: Re: Availability of samba 4.12.x)

2020-09-20 Thread Stefan Esser
I have derived a port for Samba-4.12.7 from net/sambar411 and have made
it available for testing on Phabrcator:

https://reviews.freebsd.org/D26491

The CONFLICTS line is commented out to allow compilation if an older
version of this port is already installed and the CONFLICTS lines of
the other versions have to be adjusted to include this new port.

It builds and works for me on amd64/CURRENT, but I have not been able
to test it on other releases or architectures.

Since there is a maintainer, I'm not going to commit this version,
unless approved by him (timur) - but I do of course leave it to the
maintainer to make further changes or adjustments to this port ...
