FreeBSD ports you maintain which are out of date

2021-03-06 Thread portscout
Dear port maintainer,

The portscout new distfile checker has detected that one or more of your
ports appears to be out of date. Please take the opportunity to check
each of the ports listed below, and if possible and appropriate,
submit/commit an update. If any ports have already been updated, you can
safely ignore the entry.

You will not be e-mailed again for any of the port/version combinations
below.

Full details can be found at the following URL:
http://portscout.freebsd.org/po...@freebsd.org.html

Port| Current version | New version
+-+
devel/tinygo| 0.14.1 | v0.17.0
+-+
net/eternalterminal | 5.1.9 | et-v6.1.2
+-+

If any of the above results are invalid, please check the following page
for details on how to improve portscout's detection and selection of
distfiles on a per-port basis:

helloSystem hello conflict with misc/hello

2021-03-06 Thread Graham Perrin

Hi, my first post to this list.

I'm neither a porter nor a developer, however a FreeBSD-oriented project
will benefit from your advice. Briefly:

1. when the manifest for 'hello' was created

the conflict with misc/hello was not foreseen

2. need to resolve the conflict **and** continue to have helloSystem
recognisable as such for the purpose of
.

A little more detail, my perspective:

presents package info for the latest
release .

### Background

Linux Hardware Project commit

(2021-01-03) added support for helloSystem.

was the corresponding point in time in the helloSystem issue through
which a method of support was initially agreed. This issue was closed,
then reopened in light of the naming conflict.

(Related is a potentially
confusing mash of different issues. I view the cessation of support for
`pkg update`, `pkg upgrade` and `freebsd-update` – and subsequent
replacement of /usr/sbin/pkg – as unfortunate consequences of gaps in
understanding, there and elsewhere … but I digress.)

Refocusing on the naming conflict: I look forward to your advice; either
here, or under
.

Thanks
Graham

Hmm. Default installation of 13-stable don't creating directories:
/compat/proc
/compat/sys
/compat/dev
Thereby during startup linux subsystem dont't mounted special file systems.
I created them handly.
After all, vscode building and installing is OK.

Re: FreeBSD Port: vscode-1.52.1 error build

2021-03-06 Thread Hiroki Tagato

There is a report that the following command solved the problem, see:
https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=242936#c20

$ make clean configure make-yarn-cache clean build

The workaround might work for you as well.

I still can't reproduce the error...

I have fresh 13-stable amd64 om my home desktop.
I use portmaster for build ports.
I got the same error when using make in /usr/ports/editors/vscode/

I'm sorry. I should have written earlier. After rebuilding all packages
with full cleanup /usr/local, the problem was solved.

Hi Alex,

I can't reproduce the error either by doing "make build" or by using
poudriere. Can you share what build procedure you use to build the port?

FreeBSD ports you maintain which are out of date

2021-03-06 Thread portscout
Dear port maintainer,

The portscout new distfile checker has detected that one or more of your
ports appears to be out of date. Please take the opportunity to check
each of the ports listed below, and if possible and appropriate,
submit/commit an update. If any ports have already been updated, you can
safely ignore the entry.

You will not be e-mailed again for any of the port/version combinations
below.

Full details can be found at the following URL:
http://portscout.freebsd.org/po...@freebsd.org.html

Port| Current version | New version
+-+
editors/codelite| 12.0| 15.0
+-+

If any of the above results are invalid, please check the following page
for details on how to improve portscout's detection and selection of
distfiles on a per-port basis:
