hallo,

Wenn der Auslöser einer EOS 50D mal nicht mehr will..

eine Reparaturanleitung für mutige:

eine Reparaturanleitung für korrekte:

graphics/gimp-gmic-plugin issues (was: Maintainer gone?)

Uuuups, I am sorry. I was thinking: all the information is in the PR

Yes it is r...@freebsd.org
Yes it is graphics/gimp-gmic-plugin
Yes, I did last hear from him on

I did not mail him directly. Our communication worked via that PR.
That works until 14 December 2015. After that I tried to ask him -
unhappily again via the PR.

Okay, I understand that and will remeber it the next time. Sorry. I
felt a little bit helpless. A am not a programmer, I cannot fix a port
by myself. I just like to use graphics/gimp-gmic-plugin

And this port has (different) issues in versions
1.5.x
1.6.0
1.6.8 (not in the port yet)

rm@ gave me a patch to try and to test 1.6.8 – to step over the issues
of 1.5.x and 1.6.0 - But it has other issues. Does completely not work
(a show stopper).

In the old versions 1.6.0 and 1.5.x some filters does not wort
(explained in the PR).

Maintainer gone?

2016-02-24 Thread Heino Tiedemann
Hi,

I had an open PR since some weeks. It seems, the the maintainer is
gone. In the first time we had a living discussion about that
problem. Ha made a spacial patch, so I tested it – but: did not work.

From one moment the discussion died..

Is it an orphaned PR now?

Yes - but.. :)

It is anoying that the complete show stops then.

Actual my audio/clementine-player is always failing, and everything
stops.

I do not know that clementine-player is failing, so it could be nice
just do a portmater -a to see what compiles and whht not..

And after all just a summary thet tells mee the failures..

KDE4 - kde4-runtime kdemultimedia-4 no longer needed?

2013-02-06 Thread Heino Tiedemann
Hi,

from UPDATING

20130203:
AFFECTS: users of KDE SC 4
  AUTHOR: k...@freebsd.org

KDE SC ports have been updated to 4.9.5. kdemultimedia4, kdenetwork4,
kde-runtime and kde-workspace ports have been split, they must be
deinstalled before running any port upgrade tool:

  # pkg_delete -f kdemultimedia-4\* kdenetwork-4\* \
kde-workspace-4\* kde-runtime-4\*

Now I am through with all.

But - is kdemultimedia-4 and kde-runtime-4 depriciated? Or should I
Install it by Hand after all the upgrade?

NO! portupgrade stops after thet message and does not upgrade
anything! How should I ignore that?

Yes - but libreoffice is not the fact that I am talking about.

like he has here https://github.com/pkgtools/pkgtools/issues/44

it is ANY stale dependency that stops portupgrade!

Even a pkgdb -fu does not help:

# pkgdb -fu
--->  Updating the pkgdb
[Rebuilding the pkgdb in /var/db/pkg ... USING PKGNG
- 856 packages found (-0 +856)
100200300400500600700800
 done]
# portupgrade --all
USING PKGNG
USING PKGNG
Stale dependency: de-libreoffice-3.5.7 --> shared-mime-info-1.0_1 -- manually
run 'pkgdb -F' to fix, or specify -O to force.

It is like "writen in stone" :(

Hi,

okay, the new pkg has no underline:

# pkg delete -f kdemultimedia-4\* kdenetwork-4\* kde-workspace-4\*

Package(s) not found!

is there any wildcard support for the new pkg?

pkgng - one "ervery day anoying" problem

2013-02-04 Thread Heino Tiedemann
Hi there,

from time to time I do this

,
| portsnap fetch update && portupgrade --fetch-only --all --keep-going
`

Always, realy always(!)comes this message:

,
| Stale dependency: de-libreoffice-3.5.7 --> nss-3.14 -- manually run 'pkgdb
-F' to fix, or specify -O to force.
`

I get this every time - again and again.

Well, I cannot run 'pkgdb -F'

and pkg check does not help anyrthing.

WHAT TO DO?

Mee too. gimp 2.8 is from march(!) 2012 - now it is olmost october und
nothing happened..

This - and sometime the old graphics/rawtherapee port - makes FreeBSD

graphics/rawtherapee

2012-08-07 Thread Heino Tiedemann
Hi,

is it possible to push graphics/rawtherapee to version 4.0.9.50?

On the last weekend I talked to a develoer of rawtherapee and he told
me about some new noise reduction algorythyms...

...and he told me, the the developers often don't like it, to make a
new major, so it is often a lot(!) new stuff in the change of some
minor version steps..

so..
4.0.9.1 is totaly diferent to
4.0.9.15, which is totaly different to
4.0.9.50, etc...

Is ist possible?

I have this again, again and again in a lot of modules:

- vlc
- framework
- sfx2
- ...

In this way I need a lot of days to build Libreoffice.

Because I cannot watch the build process all the time - every day some
build error occurded, und I have to fix it by hand.

the solution was in graphics/cairo

I had to Build it WITH GLIB "Enable GObject Functions Feature"

That was Off (by me).

Am I the only KDE4 user on Freebsd?

2012-05-29 Thread Heino Tiedemann
Hi,

I updated KDE4 to from 4,7 to 4,8

I am missing the odinary shortcuts like

ALT-F2 (run a command)

CTRL+F1
 F2
 F3
 F4 (goto virtual desktop no X )

ALT+Tab (switch windows)

Crazy: If i try to set the "global shortcus" in KDE systemsettings (no
idea what it is called in english, it is german here) I got this message

http://rotkap.tsdh.org/kde4-err1.png

That could be the reason! Is that why i cannot use the global
shortcuts?

Not the META-packages, but some kde stuff (3 and 4).

export these variables in your /etc/profile:

graphics/linux-XnViewMP

2012-01-12 Thread Heino Tiedemann
Hi There,

it would be nice to have an actual version of graphics/linux-XnViewMP.

Is the maintainer reading this group? Is the Maintainer still the
Maintainer?

http://www.freshports.org/graphics/linux-XnViewMP/

Or is there anybody who likes to maintain it?

Cause:

There is a newer version of that software: XnViewMP beta 0.39 for
Linux/Windows/Mac.

http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?t=24056

I use it on my office computer (Windows) and it works fine and has
some more goodies than the version in ports.

Hi,

I need the port x11/xvattr.

But now it is expired :(

See his PR:

http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=149851

I need the port zu use vlc AND mplayer - thise players toggle this:

,
| "XV_AUTOPAINT_COLORKEY" (range 0 to 1)
| client settable attribute
| client gettable attribute (current value is 1)
`

,
| "XV_AUTOPAINT_COLORKEY" (range 0 to 1)
| client settable attribute
| client gettable attribute (current value is 0)
`

one player cannot run with the settngs of the other...:(

So xvattr is needed to set the attributes to xv.

What can I do?

New perl, why not: perl-after-upgrade

2011-05-19 Thread Heino Tiedemann
Hi,

Is there e reason why in ports/UPDATING is this mentioned:

,[ 20110517 ]
| 0) Fix pkgdb.db (for safety): pkgdb -Ff
| 1) Reinstall new version of Perl (5.14): env DISABLE_CONFLICTS=1 portupgrade
...
| 2) Reinstall everything that depends on Perl: ...
`

and not this:

,[ man perl-after-upgrade ]
| The standard procedure after a perl port (lang/perl5.X) upgrade is to
| basically reinstall all other packages that depend on perl. This is
| always a painful exercise. The perl-after-upgrade utility makes this

The best? Maybe it is realy the best way to install a fresh sytem.

But one way could be:

pkg_deinstall -r xorg\*

That wouldn'n get everything X-related but almost..

firefox4 - drop URL not working any longer?

2011-03-24 Thread Heino Tiedemann
Hi there,

on all my browsers - Konqueror 3.5, previous Firefox Versions and even
the Linux-Opera - I can drop any URL by middle click just somewhere into
browser to load that site.

On Forefox4 this is not working.

Is thes geature not supported any longer?

One more difference is: It calles itself not loger Release Candidate:

What I wanted to avoid is that portupgrade blames the
www/firefox-devel directory.

But - therefore it does no matter if it is installed from ports tree
or from home directory tree:

| ** Port directory not found: www/firefox-devel

| - www/firefox-devel (port directory error)

Yes, it is Fast! I belive it is even faster on startup...

One Question:

Do I HAVE TO put it into my ports tree? Or can I put it somewhere into
my home directory tree?

e.g.
1 cd ~/myports/www
2 svn co
https://trillian.chruetertee.ch/svn/freebsd-gecko/branches/experimental/www/firefox-devel
3 cd firefox-devel
4 make install clean

Does that work? Where doesthe distfile go to then?

I remember my debian GNU/Linux times some years ago:

If i remember correcly there was the possibillity to install
Openoffice (what is the root of libreoffice) in peaces: Needed was a
"openoffice core" package and maybe another "openoffice lib" (or so)
package. After that you could install writer / base / calc and so on
seperatly...
