Wow it looks like I have been slacking on mailing list I have missed lots of
discussion.

You have two way to report pkgng issues and both are accepted the same way by
pkgng developpers:
FreeBSD's gnats: under port category, with ports-mgmt/pkg in title, that will
end up to be assigned to portmgr and taken by me directly.

The other possibility is the github issue tracking directly, which allow anyone
working on pkgng to take the task or discuss about it.

Both are equals for pkgng developpers.

Thanks for the reports btw :)

 pkgng developpers:

This said, in order to reduce confusion and the possability of bugs
being reported and discussed in multiple places
please use GNATS to report the issue. This also means that if the bug
turns out to be in a port it will be easier to just change the
classification and give it to the maintainer instead of creating a new
bug with no history.

FreeBSD's gnats: under port category, with ports-mgmt/pkg in title, that will
end up to be assigned to portmgr and taken by me directly.

Where is best place to log pkg bugs?

The mailing lists don't seem to be a good place to send bugs
and get attention, and I've found a few that I want to report
and have in a bug system somewhere. Should I use gnats? Thanks.

yes please. Log then as bin category for now (we really should have
a separate category).

IMHO these should be ports PR for ports-mgmt/pkg, not bin/pkg, since
it's a ports project.

good call; I was thinking 'ports' wasn't a good option because it was
source related, but I forgot we had a port for it. :-\

Blame me replying when I am half asleep. I'll fix the ones already submitted.
