fetch is tarpitted by Texas Instruments and/or Akamai and can not download distfiles for TI-related ports.
When worked on updating `devel/gcc-msp430-ti-toolchain' port I have been noticed, that `fetch(1)' could not download files from TI site, which is delivered by Akamai CDN. If downloader has user-agent "fetch libfetch/2.0" server doesn't answer to requests. I can download files with `wget' and I can download files with `fetch' with faked User-Agent. `wger' with USer-Agent from `fetch` is tarpitted too. It is true for both IPv4 and IPv6, and for Russia and Germany (I can not test from USA, though). You could try it yourself: http://software-dl.ti.com/msp430/msp430_public_sw/mcu/msp430/MSPGCC/8_3_2_2/export/msp430-gcc-support-files-1.209.zip http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/slau646e/slau646e.pdf I don't know, is it generic for Akamai or TI-specific. I think, somebody with official hat (FreeBSD Foundation speakperson?) should contact TI and Akamai about this situation. Faking User-Agent could be only temporary solution! Also, I'm not sure about suitable mailing list for this, so I'm posting to ports@ as I encouter this as port maintainer. -- // Lev Serebryakov signature.asc Description: OpenPGP digital signature
