firefox 7.0.1

2011-10-09 Thread ajtiM
Hi!

I have Firefox 7.0.1 installed but no one of plugins work which I didn't have
a proble before. I made in /usr/local/lib/firefox dorectory plugins and made a
symlink from /usr/local/lib/web_browser/plugins but doesn't works.
One of the plugins is gnash plugin which I use for youtube.

Thanks in advance.

pkg_libchk from sysutils/bsdadminscripts would point you to all ports

libreoffice 3.4.5 misses libjawt.so
I have:

/usr/local/diablo-jdk1.6.0/jre/lib/i386/libjawt.so
/usr/local/diablo-jre1.6.0/lib/i386/libjawt.so

redland and rasqar misses libyajl.so.1

It is quite possible that you will re-install quite a few ports that
don't need it with 'portmaster -r'. I'd just re-build the ports called
out in by 'pkg_libchk -o'. But you don't really need to do any
immediately. The backup copy of libpcre.so.0 in
/usr/local/lib/compat/pkg is not seen as that path is not checked by
pkg_libchk. (I assume that is deliberate.) Still, it is probably a
good idea to get them re-built. If some things are linked against two
libraries, one of which uses .0 and the other using .1 which will
break the executable as rtld will refuse to load it.

OTOH, those who only install or update from packages after upgrading
to a new release should have nothing to worry about.

Thank you very much. I did as you did and rebuilt all ports (it was not bad).
And it looks okay.

 Looks OK to me.

And then rebuild all ports that used libungif.

And thew next question is I have in /var/db/pgs bot giflib and libingif.
How can I find whic one is installed, please? Or are both?

They install files to the same place, overwriting each other. So whichever
one was installed last would be the one that's really installed.

It's not quite that simple. Both install include/gif_lib.h but the
associated libraries have different names. If you have both
installed, the most most recently installed will select which
include/gif_lib.h is used but the library used will depend on the
whims of the port's configuration tools.

is they're very similar, so it didn't cause problems. Nevertheless, it's
still a bad idea for them both to be installed, hence the addition of the
 conflict between them.

It's very unfortunate that the ports depending on libungif weren't all
cleaned up before the conflict was added. The current situation is a
mess and, for many people, requires manual intervention to make the
 ports system work.

I did use portmaster -o and looks like it works for now without problems...

KOffice ports have been repocopied to Calligra ones to preserve history. In
few days we'll start shipping Calligra in place of KOffice, just be patient
and wait for an announcement (on kde@ or FreeBSD.kde.org). :)

Don't worry, I just so a prot and look a little and I saw what I wrote (I am a

I forked a few ports directories to bump gimp and the dependancies to the
needed versions. Everything seems to work quite nicely.

I'm sure those modifications cannot be pushed right now in the ports tree,
there are quite a few version bump that would impact other ports, but I'd
 like to share them anyway.

I've attached a tarball of my files, here are the list of modified ports:
 glib20 - 2.30.2
 gio-fam-backend - 2.30.2
 atk - 2.2.0
 gtk - 2.24.10
 gdk-pixbuf2 - 2.24.1
 pango - 1.29.4
 babl - 0.1.10
 gegl - 0.2.0
 gimp - 2.8.0

I hope it can help people wanting to upgrade to the lastest version of
 gimp.

I like to give a try but I am not familliar with ports (I never dd). Maybe we
will be lucky and GIMP 2.8 show in ports soon.

gap

2010-07-11 Thread ajtiM
Hi!

I have one question which I asked long time ago (not answered): do we have

GAP (the GIMP Animation Package) for GIMP 2.6 and above (available at
ftp://ftp.gimp.org/pub/gimp/plug-ins/v2.6/gap) still active on FreeBSD or not
more?
And the other question is the same but for K3b for KDE 4.

Thanks.

P.S.

I am not a computer person and I don't know how to make a port otherwise I
couldn't ask about ports.

opera

Hi!

I am an Opera user but usually I installed it by myself because version in
ports for native Opera are old. For example there are version 10.61 and
outside is 10.63 and outisde is develpment version 10.70 which has a saved
problem with fonts but port version is 10.20?? (there is also alpha version 11
of Opera which works much better than 10.61 which we have in ports).

My question is: does FreeBSD doesn't like Opera to much? In this case is
better to live choice to Opera users that installed the browser when and where
they wanted and quit porting it.

Hi!

There are a version of GIMP 2.6.7 which has many bug fixes. Would be expected

GIMP 2.6.7 comes with lots of bug-fixes and it contains an important fix for
using GIMP with the latest GEGL and babl releases.

That above it's the problem, kde team is aware of it.

For the moment the workaround, when you get to this, is to:
 mv /usr/local/lib/libqt-mt.so /usr/local/lib/libqt-mt.so.old \
 cd /usr/ports/x11-toolkits/qt33/ make \
 mv /usr/local/lib/libqt-mt.so.old /usr/local/lib/libqt-mt.so \
 portmaster -C x11-toolkits/qt33

I did this yesterday while under KDE3 without problems.

I had the same errors plus 'update for arts-1.5.10_2,1 failed'

I use FreeBSD 8.0, KDE 4.3.5

I rebuilded everything - but i have no idea about the order aof
  port reinstalling.

Actually that's not necessary in this case entirely because the
commit was so large. Every port that needs to be rebuilt because
it depends on libjpeg has had it's PORTREVISION bumped. That means
that if you just do a 'portupgrade -a' or 'portmaster -a' the right
  thing will happen automatically.

No metter if there is revision bump or not, it should be in UPDATING
as it was in case of jpeg-7.

No need, since it a port has a new version, a rebuild is expected.

Is expected, but if somebody are not using portmaster or portupgrade,
simple upgrade of jpeg will break other ports and I think that in the
case of jpeg (widely used library) there will be a lot of users asking
why my app XYZ is not working anymore.

So what was the reason to put UPDATING entry 20090719 for jpeg 7, if it
is no longer needed for jpeg 8?

Yeah, LyX is at a very bad shape if used with libc++ instead of
libstdc++: its code is not C++11-compliant and uses tr1 stuff that is
 not present in libc++.

To be honest, I'm still not sure how to solve it: using USE_GCC in the
Makefile did not work last time I tested, as the other ports it relied
on had been built with libc++ and there were linking problems due to
two different STL implementations being used at the same time.

need to change your perl configuration.

I have threaded option on all the time. Do I need to rebuild than? It is

For me the biggest factor is that portupgrade doesn't stop on the first
error, it carries on building ports that don't depend on failed ports
and then presents a summary of the problems at the end.

This is a big advantage on desktop installations where there are a lot
more ports and they are generally less reliable.

Should I expected some problems becaue everything is install with portmaster?

Thank you.

I also tried rebuilding it and got the same error that Mitja saw.

I think the issue may be that the patches (for dealing with the
  freebsd1* vs freebsd1.*) aren't getting properly applied. I set
SAGE_KEEP_BUILT_SPKS=yes before trying to build, and when I looked at
the build dir for the mpir-spkg, it looks like the configure.patch file
had the patches reversed. That is, in the file

  sage-6.0/build/pkgs/mpir/patches/configure.patch

  There are lines that read

  -freebsd1.*)
  +freebsd1*)

The result, I think, is that patch believes the freebsd1.* lines, which
are the ones we want, are the old values, hence the mpir configure
script continues to act as if it were building on FreeBSD-1.x

  I'm not entirely sure how

  math/sage/files/patch-build_pkgs_mpir_patches_configure.patch

was generated, but it looks to me like a couple of the diffs in there
had newer files as their first argument, e.g.,

  +diff -ur src/aclocal.m4 b/aclocal.m4
  +--- src/aclocal.m4 2014-01-29 21:06:09.0 +
   b/aclocal.m4 2012-10-03 20:07:32.0 +
  +@@ -2421,7 +2421,7 @@
  + shlibpath_var=LD_LIBRARY_PATH
  +   ;;
  +
  +-freebsd1.*)
  ++freebsd1*)
  ...

So I think the situation could be fixed by just changing the command
around (the above was generated by

  diff -ur src/aclocal.m4 b/aclocal.m4

so instead just take the output of

  diff -ur b/aclocal.m4 src/aclocal.m4

and put the patch-build_pkgs_mpir_patches_configure.patch back together
with that output, instead of what the first command generated).

At least, that's what I'm guessing is going on. I hope my explanation
  was clear enough.

  Thanks!

It looks like Daniel found the error. I have created a new patch, and
 just committed it.

Let me explain where it comes from. I have added some code to sage,
which is in patch-src_bin_sage-spkg, which modified the configure files
to make them FreeBSD-10 friendly. I took this code from bsd.port.mk.

But in sages version of mpir, there is a patch in
 work/sage-6.0/build/pkgs/mpir/patches called configure.patch, which
after applying the changes to configure, no longer applies cleanly.

So what I did is this. I untarred two copies of
work/sage-6.0/upstream/mpir-2.6.0.tar.bz2. I renamed one directory to
src, and the other to b.

I patched b with configure.patch. I then applied the script from
patch-src_bin_sage-spkg to both these directories. I erased the *.orig
files in b. I then did diff -ur src b to create a new copy of
configure.patch. I then did diff -u between the old copy of
configure.patch and the new copy, putting it into
patch-build_pkgs_mpir_patches_configure.patch. I touched up the first
two lines of the patch-build_pkgs_mpir_patches_configure.patch to get
the path names right, and put this into files.

This is what I meant to do previously, but obviously I made an error
 somewhere in the process.

I am not lucky:

Can you send me this file:
 /usr/ports/math/sage/work/sage-6.0/logs/pkgs/r-3.0.2.p0.log

Because the build is multithreaded, the install.log gets different
builds mixed up, and the error that caused the problem isn't always in
 the last few lines.

However, I am also getting a build error at r-3.0.2.p0, and it is
exactly the same error as I was getting before. All I want to check is
whether you are getting the same error as me.

I am also getting a build error with scipy and matplotlib-1.2.1. The
scipy error exactly matches an error message I received from one of you
earlier today (before I applied the fix).

This means that whatever the problem is, the fix didn't fix it.

Here is te log. Thanks to the all for the hard work...

Yes, it was the problem. Thank you very much.
But how is the future with lzmalib? Some applications need it.

lzmalib is part of FreeBSD = 8.1.

A simple grep shows that only two ports depend on the port
 (archivers/lzmalib):

 * p5-Compress-Raw-Lzma
only if /usr/lib/liblzma.so is missing (FreeBSD 8.1)

 * databases/tokyocabinet: if option LZMA is on
even if xz/lzma is in base

 But maybe I miss something.

dependencies that are still required:
archivers/lzmalib: multimedia/vlc, graphics/GraphicsMagick13,
graphics/gimp-app, deskutils/xfce4-tumbler, graphics/webp, textproc/redland,
graphics/sane-backends, security/clamav, graphics/libgphoto2, devel/gvfs,
graphics/graphviz, graphics/ImageMagick

  python setup.py setup

I'm currently working on digging through that file to see if I can
figure out more, but I won't be able to do much before tomorrow, I'm
  afraid.

I've attached the log file for details.

I and one other person got the same error.

  I did try the patch
  /usr/ports/devel/scons/files/patch-engine-SCons-compat-_scons_subprocess.py,
but it didn't help at all.

If you type make again, I find that sage tries skipping the packages it
failed to build in favor of other packages. In this manner, you can
find that matplotlib-1.2.1 fails to build in exactly the same way.

I built the science/py-scipy port. Comparing the build logs, it seems
to me that sage completely builds the scipy subpackage. And then python
crashes. So somehow the problem is not with scipy as such.

You could just take out the error handling in the script spkg-install
inside build/pkgs/scipy. That would be rather dangerous, but it might
provide for a temporary work around the problem.

To be honest, I am finding FreeBSD-10 to be quite a pain. It is
something of a moving target. One of my other ports now fails, where it
seems it used to build under FreeBSD-10 quite successfully.

If any of you have good insights, I would appreciate it. But I may not
be able to spend a lot more time hunting down this bug until next
summer. And I would prefer to wait until FreeBSD-10.1 is rolled out,
 and things are more stable.

Thank you very much for all your work. I agree that is 10.0 very
painfulmaybe it came out to fast.

 Hello,

 Do you have

 CC=clang
 CXX=clang++
 CPP=clang-cpp

 in your environment, e.g. /etc/make.conf ?

hugin does not seem to compile with clang. I fixed the above error but a
set of another ones spills out.

Can you try the attached patch which should force it to compile with gcc
and confirm whether it fixes the problem for you?

The clang compilation issues would better be addressed with the hugin
 authors.

Yes, I have CC=clang...in /etc/make.conf.
I will use gcc.

Thank you.

On the new version of this port the afc-volume-monitor was disabled. But
s necessary remove by hand some files of the older port because these
files were not on pkg-plist

I did install new version but which files should be removed? There are no info
in /usr/ports/UPDATING.

Thanks in advance.
