8-STABLE base BIND version number typo ?

2012-08-27 Thread Damien Fleuriot
Hello list,

We're currently running Nessus PCI DSS scans on our infrastructure to
eliminate known vulnerabilities and problems.

The scan reports that my version of BIND is vulnerable to exploits I
*know* it isn't.

The problem, to me, seems to be with the version number as reported by
named -V :
BIND 9.6.-ESV-R7-P2 built with '--prefix=/usr'
'--infodir=/usr/share/info' '--mandir=/usr/share/man'
'--enable-threads' '--enable-getifaddrs' '--disable-linux-caps'
'--with-openssl=/usr' '--with-randomdev=/dev/random' '--without-idn'
'--without-libxml2'

(notice the .- notation)

This is the base's BIND running on 8.3-STABLE 64 bits compiled and
built on 22/08/12 :
FreeBSD pf1-dmz-gs.[snip] 8.3-STABLE FreeBSD 8.3-STABLE #2: Wed Aug 22
10:41:47 CEST 2012

I have verified that building the exact same version from the ports,
at /usr/ports/dns/bind96 yields the correct version number and the
vulnerabilities are no longer reported by the scan, which uses BIND's
version number as a reference.

Has anyone else noticed the same oddity, that I might fill a PR ?

LibreOffice 3.5.6 InteractiveAugmentedIOException run error

2012-08-27 Thread The Todds
I have 8.3 stable x86-64 system with the ports updated on 25 August
2012. Libreoffice 3.5.6 compiled without any errors however when I
attempt to run it I get the following error messages:

javaPathHelper: not found
terminate called after throwing an instance of
'com::sun::star::ucb::InteractiveAugmentedIOException'

I understand the the javaPathHelper is just a nuisance message.
Attempting to run Libreoffice as root gives the following message.

GConf warning: failure listing pairs in `/desktop/gnome/interface':

I rebuilt all the required libraries and dbus and gconf without success.

Any help would be appreciated.

Interesting. I've been using a CMI-based sound card with
 FreeBSD 4, 5 and 7 already. See man snd_cmi:

 HARDWARE
The snd_cmi driver supports the following sound cards:

  · CMedia CMI8338A
  · CMedia CMI8338B
  · CMedia CMI8738
  · CMedia CMI8738B

It lists older CMI8788 as supported devices. Doesn't it
 provide sufficient compatibility?

Have you tried loading the generic driver to see if your audio card is picked
up:

# kldload snd_driver

then try

# cat /dev/sndstat

which will show more info about it? That's what's recommended in the handbook.

Ottimizzazione delle pagine Web

2012-08-27 Thread Seo-Web Contatti
Buongiorno,

nostro sito internet:
