Re: Verizon EVDO - Broadcom a/b/g - Cisco VPN Client = how to in 5.3
Phil, Thanks for the response. I was speaking of the Linux version of the Cisco vpn client software. I was hoping to be able to use it with the Linux binary compatibility as you spoke of. But that appears as though it will not work now as you mentioned. I configured the .pfc file for my windows clients and thought it would make it a lot easier if I could use the same for FreeBSD. Looks like I will have to enter the information manually. I actually have already downloaded the Cisco password decrypter when working on my other equipment. Thanks for the response. It saved me from pulling more hair out. Dana. On 4/22/05, Phil Schulz <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Dana Rawson wrote: > [...] > > > > 3. Verizon EVDO - Broadcom a/b/g - Cisco VPN Client = how to in 5.3
G'Day, all. Please forgive all the question. I am new to FreeBSD and for the past few weeks I have been trying to get my Dell D600 to dual boot XP Pro and FreeBSD 5.3. I have almost got it with the exception of a few remaining items. I already have a question out there for the Evolution issues, but the last three are regarding networking: 1. Verizon EVDO - I have the found numerous discussions regarding the use of this card: http://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/freebsd-questions/2005-February/077627.html http://mail-index.netbsd.org/tech-kern/2005/01/11/0002.html But wasn't sure of the status. Has anyone been able to get this working? I am using what I'm guessing most are: AirPrime 5220. 2. Broadcom wireless a/b/g - With the help of a few searches I was able to at least get the system to recognize this nic. http://dannyman.toldme.com/2005/01/05/freebsd-howto-ndisulate-windows-drivers/ http://www.xl0.org/FreeBSD/ndis.txt 3. Cisco VPN client software installation - I have downloaded the Cisco VPN client from Cisco and also have seen the vpnc port in FreeBSD. Would either one work to connect to a cisco device? How would I incorporate my .pcf file into the installation/configuration? Thank you in advance for any directions and/or guidance! Evolution with KDE on 5.3
I am new to FreeBSD and trying to get Evolution installed on a FreeBSD laptop with KDE. I have tried everything I can think of to get through this. I have googled for answers as well. Tried installing Gnome and that didn't work either. I tried manually updating and installing certain dependencies but that failed. Also ran CVSup. I did read the error message, which is posted below, and I have downloaded the gnomelogalyzer, but don't know how to " direct the output of the failure of the make command to a file, and then feed that file to the gnomelogalyzer..." Would you be able to point me in the right direction or person(s) to inquire about resolving this? Thanks in advance. checking for libgnome-2.0 >= 2.0.0 libgnomecanvas-2.0 >= 2.0.0 libbonoboui -2.0 >= 2.0.0 gconf-2.0 >= 1.1.11 pango >= 1.1.2 gnome-vfs-2.0 >= 2.7.3 gnome-keyring-1... Please direct the output of the failure of the make command to a file, and then feed that file to the gnomelogalyzer, available from http://www.freebsd.org/gnome/gnomelogalyzer.sh, which will diagnose the problem and suggest a solution. If - and only if - the gnomelogalyzer cannot solve the problem, report the problem to the FreeBSD GNOME team at [EMAIL PROTECTED], and attach "/usr/ports/x11-toolkits/libgnomeui/work/libgnomeui-2.10.0/config.log" and the output of the failure of the make command. Also, it might be a good idea to provide an overview of all packages installed on your system (e.g. an `ls /var/db/pkg`). *** Error code 1 Stop in /usr/ports/x11-toolkits/libgnomeui. *** Error code 1 Stop in /usr/ports/databases/evolution-data-server. *** Error code 1 ___ freebsd-questions@freebsd.org mailing list http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-questions To unsubscribe, send any mail to "[EMAIL PROTECTED]"
