D-LINK local IP 192.168.0.2 D-LINK DHCP generate IP for PC ip:192.168.0.29 * Connection to outside world is OK. Question. How do set up that internet user can access PCs local webserver? http://64.123.128.11:8080 does not work http://64.123.128.11 will ask admin name and password of zoom modem and lead to admin page of the modem How do i get it connect to webserver from the intermet user? X4 zoom ADSL modem&router WANIP from X4: 64.234.33.45 LAN IP 10.0.0.6 this zoom ADSL modem connnect to D-LINK broadband router WAN PORT of D-LINK connect to WANPORT of ZOOM X4 WANIP :10.0.0.11 LAN IP: 192.168.0.2 D-LINK has enable virtual severs to allow port 21.. from IP 192.168.0.99 >From ZOOM setup virtual server? Is it correct to setup like this allow port pubport 21 private port 21 -- addr. 192.168.0.99 Testing the virtual server ftp://64.234.33.45 entering this addr, lead me to zoom admin config setup.. while I WANT to see ftp page is up...( since it set anonymous ftp ) WHat is missing? how to run test correctly? Hello, I also try freebsd-5.21 i386 still have the same problem. I boot openBSD-i386 , the system freezed. Boot openBSD-AMD64 OK but openBSD does not support nVIDIA GeFORCE.xx so No graphic display at all .. It seems HP-compag presario R3240CA model ( athlon 64 AMD ) is not a good disigned ... I like FreeBSD it's easier to install than OpenDSD or NetBSD. It seems HP works well on Sesu linux from Novell. Do you have any ideas what I need to make the system works? Help on Compaq Laptop Presario 3000 AMD Athlon 64 -Nvida-gforce3 chipset
I need help on instaling freebsd 5.3 AMD64 on my lap top. When I boot from cd rom, The system boot up to menu screen show 1...7 where 2 eg. boot with disable ACPI... My system automatically shutdown when I press any key from 1 or 7 or just press enter. I mean it SHUTDOWN my machine. What is wrong... I have follow the instruction from the web I need to disbale some IO.. from BIOS. But my bios has no option to do that. Is any one has the same LAPTOP I have? HELP!!! ps2 moused freezing while accessing Qonquor.
Hello, I have problems with PS2 moused when acccsing quonqor. the mouse freeze while moving the mouse. it happens every 5 to 10 minutes. I have to "Kill -HUP `cat /var/run/moused.pid". The mouse works again after doing kill -hup. What is the reason causing the mouse freezed? How do I prevent this? Cheers. problems with X11.
Hi I have problems with setup xf86cfg . My hardware is pci geforce 4 mx -440 -se - 64M ram monitor envison hz: 30 -70 scan ; vert 50 -150 scan XFree86-4.3.99-1.5.p? I can't make it work! . When I set up save and receive the message: mouse successfully. X.0 8 ... broken... .I can't remember exactly.. When I run startx ... It even tell mouse also failed... X .0 .8 broken I have manually play around with HorizSync , and Vert.. It does not seem work either. - I have second box.. which is openbsd with same monitor and have S3 -trio 64V. which also have same version of XFree86 - server I do same configuration as Freebsd 5.21. box.. HELP -- install FreeBSD 5.2 with Minimal Installation completed .....
Hello Installation of freebsd5.2 with minimal installation ( fast install )complete . After reboot the machine for the first time and bring os up, OS actually do not work. it boot with all kind of funny characters and the screen keep rolling forever. my system is cyrix MII 686.-300MHZ. 30G MAXTOR -drive. It was working with windows and FreeBSD4.6. After trying 5.2. with using "DD"mode to install unsuccessfully. I had follow the advice to run dos fdisk and format (fat-32) the drive; but now the drive seem only work with dos not windows and other OS... The funny thing it always fail during copying files to mount partittion... failed on ffs_cluster ...for freebsd and for openbsd it has problems with /mnt/usr during installation. With windows 2000/xp it has problems after completely copy files to harddrive and when system reboot it hung with hardware errror or blah. blah... My guessing it is must be wrong with bios on this drive.. but i dont know how... I have already lowlevel format the drive successfully. .. I need help on this.. Is anyone has any ideas how to fix it? 5.21 failed insstall cause ffs_allocation error - dup ........
Hello, Installing 5.21 failed during fetching data from cdrom to /usr with error ffs_allocation error -dup... system reboot after 30 sec ... I need help on fresh install freebsd 5.21 on cyrix 686 -300MHZ - maxtor-30G hard drive. Problem: systinstall setup - disk pattrition option chose F"DD" and confirm it. The installation seem to completed but after reboot it cannot sync the disk somehow error wirh mounting /usr directory. I cannot install OPENBSD or window either.Window xp installation complete but when reboot it give hardware error. It happens the same with OPenbsd and Linux.
