Kernel Compile Error

2003-04-05 Thread Mike Grover
I am trying to compile a kernel under 4.8.
I copied GENERIC to STANDISH in the /usr/src/sys/i386/conf dir

when I run make buildkernel KERNCONF=STANDISH I get the following
error?

linking kernel
/usr/libexec/elf/ld: BFD 2.12.1 [FreeBSD] 2002-07-20 assertion fail
/usr/src/gnu/usr.bin/binutils/libbfd/../../../../contrib/binutils/bfd/elf32-i386.c:2255

*** Signal 10

Stop in /usr/obj/usr/src/sys/STANDISH.
*** Error code 1

Stop in /usr/src.
*** Error code 1

Any Ideas?

I believe your mail is being rejected by the freebsd.org server due to
'65.61.155.146' not having a reverse pointer.

According to ARIN, this IP is owned by Rackspace. You should email
[EMAIL PROTECTED] and ask that a proper reverse pointer be entered
for your host. (I presume the host at rackspace is what you're using
 as your mail relay???)
