Opti 931

2002-12-02 Thread Tibor Selesi
Hello to all,

I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but I wasn't subsrcribed to the group so I
haven't received any reply's. I'm sending my problem:

I managed to compile my kernel and included the device pcm line for my
sound card to work. BSD has found my sound card on pcm0. When I launched
xmms, it couldn't play any sound. So I realised that something is wrong. I
tried to load the snd_sb16.ko driver, but the system reported an error,
something like the driver already loaded. Does anyone know what driver can
communicate with opti 931? Or what driver do I need for my card to work?

Thanks again for Your answers,

Tibor

By the way, I managed to force my CDROM to work by putting it on Secondary
Master. It was on Primary Slave.

Error code 1 in make depend (kernel)

2002-11-14 Thread Tibor Selesi
Hello,

I'm sending the last lines of the make depend command.
The error is only Error code 1, which You can see at the bottom of this mail.
What is wrong? I did everything by the hanbook/kernel-compile.

I have another question. My CDROM is not working with BSD. The model is TEAC
EA. When I enter the command:
mount /dev/acd0c /cdrom
I get device not configured answer.
The acd0c file exists in /dev. I tried to add to the kernel sorce code, as it
indicates in hanbook/devicenodes the line:
device acd0
The config instruction says that this is unknown, or something alike.
How can I make BSD to recognise and to work with my CDROM?

Thanks for Your answer.

Best from,

Tibor
