Where is pkg repository for 9.2-RELEASE (amd64)?
Summary: Where is the (U.S.) pkg(ng) repository for amd64 9.2-RELEASE (i.e., what's the right URI for PACKAGESITE in pkg.conf)? Things I tried that didn't work: * pkg_add -r pkg didn't create /usr/local/etc/pkg.conf * pkg.conf.sample suggests http://pkg.freebsd.org/${ABI}/latest;, but the host name pkg.freebsd.org does not DNS resolve for me. * URLs using pkgbeta.FreeBSD.org didn't work, and http://pkgbeta.FreeBSD.org/ itself says Currently this site only contains pkg bootstrap files! bug in /usr/bin/calendar: Thu+1 doesn't match on 7th or December
Bug report for /usr/bin/calendar SUMMARY: calendar does not match Thu+1 or Mon+1 in some months. With one exception, it looks like calendar file dates such as Thu+1 and Mon+1 are failing to match in two cases: (1) the 7th of Jan-Nov, and (2) December. Booting problem
I tried to boot via a serial console, so I modified/added the following config files: --- /boot/loader.conf: boot_multicons=YES boot_serial=YES console=comconsole --- /boot.config # wyt: added -Dh --- Changed /etc/ttys: ttyd0 /usr/libexec/getty std.9600 dialup off secure to ttyd0 /usr/libexec/getty std.9600 xterm on secure However, I got the following messages while booting: /boot.config: # FreeBSD/i386 boot Default: 0:ad(0,a)boot boot: I think I prob. made a mistake by putting a line of comment #wyt: added at the beginning of /boot.conf and the boot loader doesn't like it. But if I specify /boot/kernel/kernel after the line boot: I got a bunch of reg dumps and finally: BTX halted The kernel was booting fine before I make the changes. I now have the chicken and egg problem: I need to get rid of the line of comment in boot.conf for it to boot, but I can't access it without booting into it. Any hint? .html problems
we can transfer files to a freebsd server from XP. Everythime we try to upload index.html it goes from 850kb to 828kb and it always displays the same text index directory??? is that o the XP side or free bsd side... Hello, I was hoping someone could help me. I'm trying to use Nifty TelNet to change a password on our Web site (the password allows visitors to enter the members only section of the site.) Last year, I used the program to change the password, and it was no problem. This time, the commands look different and I'm having trouble. I'm getting all the way down to htpasswd .htpasswd, then, I pick a code, and type in a new password. But, when I go to our Web site, the password is the same old one. Help! Good day to you! I am trying to run Trend's virus wall on Freebsd, but Im not sure how to do this. They do not have a tarball for freebsd - but I was thinking running it with linux compatability?
