I guess I will have to ask on the 3ware support system what they meant when they once wrote to me saying that "3ware cards were fully intregrated into FreeBSD 6" The drivers are certainly part of the base OS. Pop in the CD and you can install directly onto the 3ware array. The management tools to then manipulate the array can be either downloaded from 3ware or built from the ports. cd /usr/ports/sysutils/3dm/ make install or just download the cli.
