My understanding is that dual core opterons just look like multiple
processors to the operating system, so there should be no problems.

For that matter, my understanding is that dual core opterons *are*
separate processors, connected only via their normal external
interface.

Ready for dual core Opterons?

AMD is going to be launching dual core Opterons this month.  Will FreeBSD 5.4
be ready to handle them? Also, will the "nve" driver (which is needed to run
the Ethernet interface on AMD-based boards with NVidia chipsets) be in 5.4?
