Atheros Wireless Not Functioning

As per the thread at

My wireless is supported, shows up fine in ifconfig, and seems to
respond, but doesn't "see" APs, as if the radio is somehow disabled.
After troubleshooting on the forum, I was advised to send to the
mailing list.
dmesg output is avilable at that thread, and I'll dig up any other info
you need on request.

Whats' dmesg | grep ath0 show; and ifconfig wlan0 list scan show?
