Thanks to everyone who replied -- it turns out that Amazon doesn't need these
after all.  (I'm guessing the people who run the AWS Marketplace just realized
that porting a new OS to EC2 is not exactly the same as the usual selling a
software package stories they see.)

If anyone here is using FreeBSD/EC2 in production, please let me know.  I'm

I doubt they care but...

You can tell them that I won't use EC2 for myself or any of my clients, because 
of the lacking FreeBSD support.

I have been familiarizing myself with the environment but have to commit to 
production instances.
