[Freeciv-Dev] [bug #16672] civilwar_nations for city names

2010-09-11 Thread pepeto

Follow-up Comment #3, bug #16672 (project freeciv):

If naturalcitynames is set, then it picks the first city of the list
including 1, 2 and 3 in the other. Else, it does the same except it has a
random factor. So if we are at the end of 1, it can pick a name of 2, etc...

2010-09-11 Thread pepeto

Follow-up Comment #2, patch #1948 (project freeciv):

Anyway small functions like them are usually treat as inline by the compiler.
So using pow() would just make the code less efficient, not gaining anything.
An inline square() function would preserve the exact current behaviour, not
sure it would gain anything however.

Andrzej,

You can download an excellent and Free text editor for Windows at
http://notepad-plus-plus.org/

It would help us a lot of you could use this text editor instead of
Notepad/Wordpad when you edit Freeciv ruleset files.

Thanks in advance! :)

[Freeciv-Dev] [bug #16659] secfile_save() can usually takes very long time

2010-09-11 Thread pepeto

Update of bug #16659 (project freeciv):

  Status:None = Ready For Test

___

Follow-up Comment #1:

Changed how vector is handled. With big save games, it was taking too much
time to find the entry by names for vectors.

Vectors are usually inserted in the order, so no need to check somewhere
else. Note it's a bit weak to process like this, but anyway, tables have the
same behaviour already.

[Freeciv-Dev] [patch #1949] add casts to utility/support.c for clean compilation

2010-09-11 Thread David Lowe

Follow-up Comment #2, patch #1949 (project freeciv):

It was indeed my intention that this would be planned for 2.2.4 or later;
trunk sounds good to me. The whole purpose of this move was to allow 1700 to
be closed soon without forgetting this piece.

[Freeciv-Dev] [bug #16684] Possible Bug using Island generator

2010-09-11 Thread Alberto Bonsanto

Follow-up Comment #1, bug #16684 (project freeciv):

Another thing I forgot, when you enable 1 x 1 islands doesn't work, it's a
myth i haven't ever seen one. I invite you to try setting normal islands game
(3,3,3,1), enable all map temperate, and 1 x 1 islands. You will see you never
get one :)
