Details:

Running 2.5.4, Windows 10. I tried to install ancients. It failed to run and
gave an error about something to do with lakes.

"Tileset problem, it's probably incompatible with the ruleset: Don't have
graphics tags "t.l0.lake_n0e0s0w0" or "" for matched terrain "Lake".

This was fixed by using this file:

And I still had a few errors. The ancients seemed to work okay, and I used
Sextant as a tileset because I didn't care for the ancients.

So I ran a game with the ancients ruleset and the sextant tileset. Gameplay
seems ok, but I saw a few glitches once when attacking am AI city. My elephant
attacked a city and won, but showed no damage. I also had a situation where a
diplomat showed an empty city but it obviously was defended.

But this is what stderr.txt reports (see attached file)

I think the server should not know the client, tileset, music, sounds, or
sound plugin of a player. And players including AIs should not know any server
details, as long as the versions are compatible, and excluding visible
settings plus ruleset.

Or in other words, if a script needs to know the client it should get that
info locally from the client. Likewise it could determine the tileset, music,
sounds, sound plugin, theme, language (etc.) locally, because that's no server
and no connection business.

Okay, assuming that I just researched one wanted tech *sanitation* after
getting another currently researched *explosives* from Darwin's Voyage. But
the third tech *electricity* wasn't authorized by me, and I prefer a manual
_"scientists do not know what to research next"_ step in this situation before
getting unwanted random techs. 

It's in line with my rules, the very first research must be masonry, all other
former init techs have this as root requirement (mostly for the AIs, they
really must build a palace, and need masonry for the job): *savepalace, FALSE,
TRUE* is the only locked option under these rules.
