I've started working on generalizing tile specials before school started, but now I hardly find time to sleep. Hopefully, when semester will end I'll get back into it. Follow-up Comment #1, bug #13599 (project freeciv): - AI code to use the new units and to clear pollution This is BIG obstacle for this change, and I won't accept this change without this one being addressed. Otherwise AIs constantly lead world to global warming and that would only frustrate players. IIRC AI does not give any value to units ability to clean pollution when it decides what to build. So it doesn't even build these units.
