[Freeciv-Dev] [bug #16212] Default size of city dialog gives scrollbar on city map with amplio tileset
Follow-up Comment #8, bug #16212 (project freeciv): That screenshot shows the default width, which is the same as the minimum width on my system (I can't make the city dialog any narrower). I can't see what's forcing it to be that wide (but I haven't looked very hard). I've seen something similar here; lets hope it's not a problem for netbooks ... ___ Reply to this item at: http://gna.org/bugs/?16212 ___ Nachricht geschickt von/durch Gna! http://gna.org/ ___ Freeciv-dev mailing list Freeciv-dev@gna.org https://mail.gna.org/listinfo/freeciv-dev

Update of bug #16212 (project freeciv): Planned Release: = 2.2.2, 2.3.0 ___ Follow-up Comment #2: The default width and height of the city dialog can be adapted. At the time the patch was created the main goal was to reduce the size for a netbook. I do change the size each time I start a game. Perhaps the width and height can be saved as an client option? At the moment these values are saved during a session but, as you said, not across sessions. ___ Reply to this item at: http://gna.org/bugs/?16212 ___ Nachricht geschickt von/durch Gna! http://gna.org/ ___ Freeciv-dev mailing list Freeciv-dev@gna.org https://mail.gna.org/listinfo/freeciv-dev

If it is automatically scaled to this width, it would be a bug ... [Freeciv-Dev] [bug #16212] Default size of city dialog gives scrollbar on city map with amplio tileset
URL: http://gna.org/bugs/?16212 Summary: Default size of city dialog gives scrollbar on city map with amplio tileset Project: Freeciv Submitted by: jtn Submitted on: Thursday 07/01/10 at 00:39 Category: client-gtk-2.0 Severity: 2 - Minor Priority: 1 - Later Status: None Assigned to: None Originator Email: Open/Closed: Open Release: Discussion Lock: Any Operating System: GNU/Linux Planned Release: ___ Details: Since the recent city dialog reforms for small screens on S2_2 (particularly patch #1709), the default city dialog size is such that the city map on the Overview page has gained a vertical scrollbar when using amplio (at least on my system). Sure I can resize the dialog (but it won't persist across sessions), and sure scrollbars will be a fact of life in the long term if/when variable city radii are enabled. And I probably won't even need to use the scrollbar since not much of the map is obscured. But it would be still nice if we could spare the few vertical pixels to avoid the ugly scrollbar in this common configuration (assuming it really is common, and not a quirk of my system). (The dialog comes out at 931x514 excluding window furniture.) If it can't be done, close this as Won't Fix. ___ File Attachments: --- Date: Thursday 07/01/10 at 00:39 Name: S2_2-citydlg-scrollbar.png Size: 312kB By: jtn S2_2 r17515: default-sized city dialog, showing city map scrollbar http://gna.org/bugs/download.php?file_id=9404 ___ Reply to this item at: http://gna.org/bugs/?16212 ___ Message sent via/by Gna! http://gna.org/ ___ Freeciv-dev mailing list Freeciv-dev@gna.org https://mail.gna.org/listinfo/freeciv-dev
