I haven't played with Qt client for a month or two, but I didn't notice
anything like this with S2_6 Qt client before that.

No, Civ2Civ3.

Actually I continued playing the very same game for hours using the Gtk3
client, without problem.

That was experimental ruleset, right ?

Details:

As I play, updates to the map when an unit is focused become slower and
slower, up to taking seconds just to update the goto line. CPU usage for
freeciv-qt is at 100% in the meantime.

Gtk3 client isn't affected so it's most probably a Qt-only issue. I didn't
check S2_6.

I'm using Qt 5.7.0 on Arch Linux and the Plasma DE, both under X11 and
Wayland.
