[Freecol-developers] Fwd: Release: DHYB

2015-05-18 Thread Caleb Williams
I have attached the specified/needed Colony base files as un-cropped
none-interlaced PNG files at BR#2049
. These are significantly
larger than the existing PNG files. These are all based off of: [r10493
].

They may be big enough to approach 512px x 512px size. 256px by 256px is
then available as well.

Best wishes,

[Freecol-developers] Old bugs

2015-05-18 Thread Michael T. Pope
Having just (at last) closed BR#459, I reviewed all the old bugs to
remind myself why I had not fixed them. In case anyone is interested...

BR#793FreeCol IzPack installer does not edit Windows Registry
  - Can not test installer issues on Windows
BR#1307 Keep x autosave files
  - The remaining bug here looks like a Java library issue
BR#1637 Multiple clicks causing gotos
  - Probably Windows-specific, I can not reproduce
BR#1738 Modal Dialogs that don't stay on top.
  - Lots of similar bugs with this sort of behaviour. We have had
reports of it for years, and it got worse when I cut FreeColDialog
over to using JDialogs. Almost certainly a Java library issue,
almost all sightings are on Windows. Tagged "Behind" below.
BR#1824 freecol should be playable with keyboard only
  - Agreed it should. Long term UI project, good one for students.
BR#1873 REF Color Bug
  - Aesthetic issue
BR#1924 Can't open folders - Problem loading autosaves.
  - Probably needs BR#1307 to be fixed
BR#1944 UnitTypes not extensible in Specification
  - Still planning to look at this again next time I am working on mods
BR#1959 Grammer endings wrong when not using English
  - Michael (linguistics qualified) says this is hard. I believe him.
BR#2014 FC094 - Moving Wagon Trains in City Build Queue has bug.
  - Minor bug, leaving to students
BR#2043 Missing sounds
  - Missing media
BR#2047 Hover boxes and context menus don't show in full screen
  - "Behind"
BR#2049 Missing fort and fortress images
  - Missing media
BR#2120 some dialog are not repainted when switching workspaces
  - Unclear if this is "Behind", Java or KDE issue
BR#2170 Double right-click colony screen, unit behind menu glitch
  - Windows specific
BR#2328 Initial video not appearing properly.
  - "Behind"
BR#2377 Cease-fire is not seen in Indian advisor
  - WWC1D?
BR#2515 add desktop-entry to release target
  - Installer
BR#2527 Usability issues
  - Lots of UI issues, mostly outdated
BR#2580 Where is the name?
  - Weird graphics lose
BR#2593 Hang after first turn if enableUpkeep turned on in specification.xml
  - Likely fixed git.bfc1649, play test upkeep one day
BR#2611 toggling fullscreen mode crashes when started with intro movie
  - Java library bug
BR#2690 Mouse clicks not registered on some game windows
  - Probably "Behind"
BR#2703 Game freezes on starting video
  - Can not reproduce, but starting video keeps causing strife on Windows

That takes us up to 0.11.x. I am not planning to work on any of these
except BR#1944 and BR#2593 (if it is still alive). I have assigned
myself as owner of those two, the rest are all yours folks:-). Obviously,
nothing here is release-blocking.

Cheers,
Mike Pope

OK, I was reading the wrong doco. The two argument Map.remove call is new
in Java8. Remove the ", plan" part of the offending line and you should
get a build. I am testing whether this causes problems in trunk, and if
it is ok will commit the change.
