Hi Josh,

Freedombox is Debian Pure Blend, so you can do with it anything, that
you can do with Debian. You can install minidlna (DLNA media server)
and it will share movies/music/photos in your LAN.

What have command returned?

You commands look correct. I tried them on my FB, they work.
Check firewalld status.

systemctl status firewalld

You can add port manually to firewalld configuration and then restart
firewalld (systemctl restart firewalld).

Edit /etc/firewalld/zones/internal.xml

connections are accepted.

I'm using FreedomBox as an router. It's running on
http://www.pcengines.ch/apu2.htm
So far I'm pretty happy with it.
