[Freedos-devel] FreeDOS - Community Choice Awards

2008-06-06 Thread Jim Hall
Please excuse this blatant ad, but I wanted to forward this to the
list. I've added a little link button to the www.freedos.org site for
the SourceForge.net 2008 Community Choice Awards. It would be cool to
have FreeDOS recognized in one of the areas, especially these:

Best Tool/Utility for SysAdmins
(lots of people use a FreeDOS boot floppy or bootable CDROM to recovery systems)

Best Project for Educators
(I know there are many educators who use FreeDOS to teach an intro to
programming or an intro to computing)

Best Project for Gamers
(there are lots of good DOS games ... and you can play them on FreeDOS)

or even just Best Project

See forwarded email:

Hey! You! Are you sick of letting the big hardware companies, tech blogs,
and mainstream media decide which open source projects deserve widespread
attention? So are we. That's why we created the SourceForge.net Community
Choice Awards, and we need your nominations!

 Award Categories

Most Likely to Change the World
 Best New Project
Most Likely to Be Ambiguously Accused of Patent Violation
Most Likely to Get Users Sued
Best Tool or Utility for SysAdmins
Best Tool or Utility for Developers

 Best Project
 Best Project for the Enterprise
 Best Project for Educators
Most Likely to Be the Next $1B Acquisition
 Best Project for Multimedia
 Best Project for Gamers

Based on your nominations, ten finalists will be chosen in each category.
The winners will receive our coveted award robot, be showered with praise,
and will have vastly increased reputation in the city or town of their
 choice.

So nominate now, because there's no better way to tell the world that your
favorite open source project can beat up your friend's favorite open source
 project. Make your voice heard!

2008-06-06 Thread Ladislav Lacina
Thanks Oleg! I took your fixed compute.ru file, fixed one issue with errorlevel
setting and now the Compute 1.2 is available:
