Re: [Freedos-devel] Update Bloček

2012-08-06 Thread Ladislav Lacina
I don't know what standard CP852.F16 should be but I checked glyphs in
LATIN216.CH, LATIN214.CH and LATIN28.CH and they seems to be OK. They look like
chars under czech version of Windows 98,XP,7 which for DOS application uses
LATIN2 encoding.

I also spent a day when trying to track some problems with FPC 2.x.x
compilation. Now (after avoiding some things) it seems to be stable even with
FPC 2.4.2.
Compilation with FPC 2.6.0 is also possible but there occurs a crash when
shelling into DOS and this crash seems to be inside RTL function Exec.
Localization into another languages would be appreciated but I speek only
czech, englich and russian and can't make and maintain such translations.
(well, I speak also a little bit german but to bad to use it for some project)

The font files in Bloček LATIN216.CH and LATIN218.CH have changed the
 following letters.
 101 e
 130 eacute
 216 ecaron

But the following letters do not match the letter e.
 137 edieresis
 169 eogonek

Please update LATIN216.CH and LATIN218.CH to match the original
 CP852.F16 small e.

Please update Bloček to support character rendering for the following glyphs.

 SPACES
 Standard Glyph - DEFAULT
 Picture Glyph

 PRIVATE USE CHARACTERS
 Standard Glyph - DEFAULT
 Decimal
 Hexadecimal

Bloček supports Decimal and Hexadecimal (h).
 UniPad supports only Hexadecimal (U+).

Please rename the Brazilian Portuguese layout from Brasil to Português
(Brasil) and add the Polish keyboard.

Please localize Bloček to the following languages.
 Bulgarian
 Dutch
 German
 Hungarian
 Polish

Please fix the typos in Bloček.

In the about dialog for Bloček...
 It says
Bloček hasn't any restrictions about maximal file size or line length.

 But it should be
Bloček has no restrictions about maximum file size or line length.

[Freedos-devel] almost there...

2012-08-06 Thread Mark Brown
I'm running VMWare Workstation 8,

and everything's okay now except for two things:
1) how do i make the Press ESC, F2, or F12 screen
appear for more than ~0.125 second on startup, and,
2) how do i make the top menu bar disappear

in full-screen mode without reverting to small-screen

   mode?

{  #1 effectively kept me from using the software for
   what seemed like hours...  }

Thank you very, very much for your help,
and this is about the last posting i'll post
about this issue.

most sincerely,
mark brown

[Freedos-devel] Bloček and Kašmár

2012-08-06 Thread Tae Wong
Please have Bloček localized to Polish and the Polish keyboard added.
The CP852.F16 file is for Central and Eastern European languages. It
supports Albanian, Bosnian (Latin), Croatian, Czech, German,
Hungarian, Polish, Serbian (Latin), Slovak and Slovenian except
Romanian which lacks s and t comma below. LATIN214.CH, LATIN216.CH and
LATIN218.CH had a slash in the number zero. Please use a dot in the
number zero. Other versions of CP437.F14 are in FNTCOL16.

BACKWARD.F14 has all characters in horizontal flip.
INVERTED.F14 has all characters in vertical flip.
REVERSE.F14 has all characters inverted.

Why no UPSIDOWN.F14?

Please fix a typo in the about dialog from Bloček.

It says Bloček hasn't any restrictions about maximal file size or line length.

Using Bloček in Polish words which contain e-ogonek will use the
original letters from CP852.F16 file.

Load a big file in Bloček such as the Central European international
soccer players and a runtime error crashes the program. There are
problems in the Bloček user interface.

In the main toolbar, 2nd check box, word wrapping text is cut off.

Bloček and Kašmár had no file replacement dialogs when trying to do a
file save. Please have file replacement dialogs.

Please localize Bloček and Kašmár in the following languages...
Belarusian
Bulgarian
Croatian
Dutch
German
Hungarian
Polish
Romanian
Slovak
Slovenian
Ukrainian

Bloček lacks a on-screen keyboard. UniPad has a keyboard facility.

Bloček uses only Variable Font Width, but Bloček has no usage to
select from Fixed Font Width. UniPad allows you to select either
Variable or Fixed Width Fonts.

Bloček and Kašmár had typos.

When selecting the Delete char button in Kašmár, you will get the typo.
Do you realy want to delete char n. decimal?

Kašmár does not update character distance when saving.

Please update two programs to remove these errors and typos.
