Re: [Freedos-user] Need help with networking

2022-06-19 Thread Eduardo Casino
Hi, try to create them with the vm powered down.

I also recommend that you name the folders in uppercase and following the
dos file name conventions. If not, make sure that you specify the /lfn
switch with vmsmount.

Hi, thanks for that. I have downloaded it, but there is one slight problem –
VMWare doesn’t allow me to create shared folders because it is a DOS machine.
I can’t figure out how to get around that, so if you can help with that I’d
really appreciate it.

Thanks!

Also, if your connection is just to a Linux box.

EtherDFS works great.

You do need to run it’s server on the linux Box.

Hi,

I would very much like to get the networking setup so that I can create shares
to be able to exchange files with the host machine, but for some reason ‘net’
and related commands don’t seem to be present.

You might want to give vmsmount a try, a free implementation of VMWare's shared
folders protocol. It is also included in the "Networking" category in the CD or
you can download it from the FreeDOS package repository:

[Freedos-user] Today's get-together meeting URL

2022-06-19 Thread Jim Hall
Hi everyone!

Here's the URL for today's meeting. You can use this directly in any
modern browser (BlueJeans prefers Chrome) or use it with the meeting
client.

https://bluejeans.com/589662427/1061

Folks have reported some performance issues (audio lag) when
connecting just through a browser, so you might want to download the
meeting client:

See you in about 20 minutes!
