I've also got it 6 times.  I thought somebody wanted to make sure we
wouldn't forget the contents of the monthly reminder this month.  :-D

Interesting. So far, Eric, Bryan, Angel, and Bonaventure received
multiple copies (I'm assuming 3 for freedos-user and 3 for
freedos-devel?) but I only received one.

Any Gmail users out there who received multiple copies? My email is
hosted by Gmail - I checked my Spam and didn't see anything, but I
wonder if Gmail detected multiple copies sent and only delivered one
to my Inbox.

I'm replying to the email list to see what others received.

Re: [Freedos-user] Windows 95

2021-01-28 Thread Bonaventura de'Vidovich

Hello

*Win 3.11 is a interface, in that case DOS is the _real_ operative system.**
**Win95 is an operative system (no comment). **There is no DOS.
*
You should install Win95 in a empty disk. It is not possible to copy
files from an other installation because some files have to be placed in
specific position in the disk; otherwise your drive don't boot!
It is possible to do an image of the drive but that is completly an
other thing.
Installing WinNT on a drive with DOS it is possible to obtain a double
boot but I'm quite sure that Win95 don'allow (specific programs permit
to create double boot).
A simple trik to perform double (or multiple) boot is to have differnt
drives (also flash pen) with different O.S. and select which boots from
bios (or plug in flash pen before boot)

Other way is Virtual Machines...

Hello,
I tried to install windows 95 on my PC. But it ended up with an error.
So I installed Windows 3.11. Is anyone able to make zip file of C:
drive with Windows 95 and send me link to download. Then I can unzip
it to my c: and it should work.

Thanks,
Simon

[Freedos-user] Install FD on a USB pendrive

2017-08-08 Thread Bonaventura de'Vidovich

Hi,
I'd like to install FD on a USB pendrive.
I have tried to use the «USB "Full" installer
» image but only
a little bit o free space is avaible. Besides the sistem looks not to
run very well starting so from USB pendrive.

How can I do?
Tanks
