The update of Mac OS wouldn't make a difference to FreeDOS. If you
still can run the VM image after the update, which would be an OS X
problem to begin with if not, nothing should have changed. FreeDOS
(or any other OS that runs inside a VM) knows really anything about
the OS outside of the VM...
