[Freeswitch-users] Originate command

2008-10-11 Thread Jon Bruel
I have tried to use the originate command from the API, from javascript
apiExecute and from javascript using newsession.originate. In all cases
I get the same behaviour: when the dialstring includes several
destinations such as:
user/[EMAIL PROTECTED],user/[EMAIL PROTECTED]
it's only the first user dialled. Actually this user is dialled twice.
If I add a third number, the first user is dialled three times. Is this
as per design, or should I report a bug. And if so, which project should
I use? /Jon

 Hi Brian -

I'm interested in this work and would like to talk to you more about

My qualifications should fit your needs pretty well:

 - 7 years of Java software development experience, as well as 13+ of
 C/C++/Ruby/Python/Javascript/assembler/etc.
 - experienced lead engineer - coding standards, SCM, branching and
 merging, deployment, build engineering
 - full-stack engineer - administering DNS, webservers, open-source
 proprietary RDBMS, J2EE appservers
 - lots of Linux/Unix, of course, as well as FreeBSD, Windows

I have some experience with Freeswitch, on Linux. I have built it
occasionally since early this year, and have run it on an Amazon EC2
instance from time to time, both from my own build, and from the one
included in the custom AMIs that Brian West has made available .
Although I haven't put it into serious production use, I have
configured it various ways and connected to it; I've used DiDs as well
as SIP phones with it, and scripted it with Java and Javascript. In
general, I'd really like a chance to work more with it. If it's any
use, I have some experience with XMPP/Jabber, too.

Please contact me - I'm in San Francisco and would be happy to chat
about the work you're doing. I'll be going out of town and off the
grid late this evening, but will be available again on Monday evening.

 Larry Edelstein

I have removed the sounds folder in case it was something in there, but
 it wasn't.

I'm using r9959 - it also used to happen if the destination didn't

I've just tried increasing originate_retry_sleep_ms to 15000, and the 2

any help in finding the problem.

I think we can setup an irc meeting sometime next week and take it further.

I am sorry to sound like I am a bit money oriented, which offcourse I
am not, but these patents and royalties mess is more complicated then
just paying the money.

My only interest it to provide capabilty to freeswitch so that it can
be used on a much larger scale and g729 still has a wide industry
acceptence. This is my personal opinion, please correct me if I am
wrong

[Freeswitch-users] SoftIVR.com

2008-10-11 Thread David Knell
Hi -

I'm after some alpha testers of a very alpha product. SoftIVR is
something we've
been putting together for a little while - it's a hosted IVR, using
FreeSWITCH for
its back end.

A very quick rundown of what it does and how it does it:
- each user can have one or more virtual IVRs;
- each IVR can have a set of files (prompts), services, numbers,
registered SIP
devices (extensions) and things that it registers with (gateways)
- services are written in Javascript - not executed by FreeSWITCH's
mod_spidermonkey,
but outside FS; the interpreter extends JS with a collection of extra
functions (answer(),
hangup(), play(), playtone(), record(), conference()..) to control
call flow
- services are linked to numbers which folk call
- it has a simple script debugger (tracing, log output) which runs in
the browser

If you're interested, please drop me a note either on- or off-list
with a quick outline
of the application(s) you'd like to build. We're going to be writing
documentation
and tutorials over the next few days; I'll send you an invite code
when there's enough
of that done to allow you to implement your application.

There's a brief screen capture video with commentary available from
http://www.softivr.com/softivr.mov to give you a quick flavour of what
it's all about.

Cheers --

Dave

[Freeswitch-users] mod_xml_curl X.509 authentication

2008-10-11 Thread Kristian Kielhofner
Hey everyone,

I see that mod_xml_curl has an option to disable the CA cert check
for use with HTTPS connections. Are there any options for configuring
X.509 authentication?

I imagine username/password, with HTTPS, with disabling CA checks
works pretty well but I'd prefer full-blown X.509 with a CA, trusted
certs, etc.

I'm sure that curl/libcurl supports everything I'm looking for...
Where does FreeSWITCH stand on this?

  Thanks!
