Hi,

there is a similar JIRA ticket for auto port selection. Probably it is
not exactly what you want but lets take a look.
http://jira.freeswitch.org/browse/SFSIP-54

Regards,

seven írta:
 Hi,

 I'm running more than one FS on a server, just want to know, how does
 FS chose a free rtp port? If a rtp port selected by one FS already
 used by another FS or another process, can it pick another free one
 automatically?

 Another option I know would be limit the rtp port range for each FS
 instance or bind to different address. But definitely need more
 configuration.

 Thanks.

Re: [Freeswitch-users] uuid_displace FIFO help

2009-04-27 Thread TTNC - Adnan Barakat
Anthony Minessale wrote:

SVN rev 13130 on Linux.

 i suggest maybe you update your code or rebuild it clean.
Looking through my lua script, it seems timer_name=soft is causing the
problem, if I set this variable the quality becomes really bad when
doing uuid_broadcast - but if I don't set it the quality becomes bad on
the b leg when playing the group_confirm file (as mentioned in a
previous thread). Also is there any way to stop uuid_broadcast as I'd
need to stop it somehow if the destination picks up?

Just wondering - would it be possible to originate to a destination
which plays the message (then hangs up when the file(s) are finished
playing - or - gets uuid_kill(ed) when the destination picks up), then
the luarun script executes eavesdrop on the aleg to listen to the
message? In tests I've done nothing happens on the aleg when eavesdrop
is executed just the moh continues - is there a way to get this to work?

eg. in the luarun script to do something like this;

osess = freeswitch.Session(uuid); -- aleg
asess = asess =
freeswitch.Session(sofia/default/queue-annou...@x.x.x.x); --
announcement leg

auuid = asess:getVariable(uuid);
osess:execute(eavesdrop, auuid);

queue-annou...@x.x.x.x would look like this;
action application=answer/
action application=playback data=/tmp/filename.wav/
action application=hangup/

Thanks again

Re: [Freeswitch-users] What would happen if a selected rtp port is used?

2009-04-27 Thread seven

Thank you.

I configured with different port range on different FS instance.

I also run a couple of skype instances using skypiax, and
unfortunately skype ports is not likely controllable and perhaps have
potential conflict. But I don't care at this time as the traffic is
low and the chance is very rare. Maybe configure multiple ip addresses
is the simplest solution to more complicated scenario.

On Apr 27, 2009, at 11:30 AM, Anthony Minessale wrote:

the range is configurable in switch.conf.xml

Thanks Jason,

I do TLS/SRTP with some other Phones (Snom/X-Lite/Other_Freeswitches).
This works nad I have those crypto lines.
But I couldn't get it work with my E71 and I am struggling whether I
should invest more time into it. I am sure it's on the Symbian side.

This was just to ask if anybody manged to get it to work. I you all tell

it works, this would be very helpful information for me.

 TLS seems to work but what about the SRTP part?

 Do you have log entries like this?

 2009-04-24 11:05:19 [INFO] switch_rtp.c:782

 If so, this establishes that SRTP is being used. Of course, you could
also
 intercept the packets just to be sure, but I think the above log
entries
 should be a reliable indicator.

auto sip port is only useful for outbound profiles I think. It
generally needs tons of rtp ports vs a few sip ones.

Re: [Freeswitch-users] FreeSWITCH under the Linux 2.6.29 kernel

boot Your kernel with divider=10 nohz=off options :)

Recent kernels are tickless which basically causes all freeswitch

With nohz kernels You get hundred times more system calls with
freeswitch :(

Is anybody else seeing this? The proportion of CPU time devoted to

Thanks for those pointers. There's several nice-looking devices in this
list:

Ideally, I'd like a compact box that can fit a PCI card horizontally so I
don't have to provide a second, external device to connect the server to a
POTS line.

Out of curiosity, do you guys think Freeswitch could run on the SheevaPlug?

[Freeswitch-users] dynamically change the presence status

2009-04-27 Thread Antonio Gallo
Hello, i'm a bit confused about how to port a special function i've on
some asterisk system to Freeswitch.

In my old asterisk scenario i've all the phones subscribe to extensions
sip:9...@pbxip
this exentions is configured not to monitor a device but a DeviceState
variable, i.e.:
999,hint,DS/faxserver
using dialplan i turn on the blinking status using
DevState(DS/FaxServer,${RINGING})
and i turn it off when the call is hanged down.
The same applies to other functions: queues, night service, etc.

Under freeswitch the solution is
http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Misc._Dialplan_Tools_presence ?
I tried but it didn't worked:
presence in|9...@pbxip|dnd|'Do not disturb.'
presence out|9...@pbxip|dnd|'Do not disturb.'

The LED on the phones (Grandstream GXP 2010 or Snom 320) does not turn
RED/ON.

Any suggestion?

 I've been using fsctl shutdown restart with as far back as FS 12653M and
probably earlier in the exact same manner from the same directory as
FreeSWITCH.exe,
i.e. \FreeSWITCH\Debug\

I think it ends with something like stop memory pooling but the window is

open the cli.exe manually first
and cd to the FS dir

and run it from there so when it exits it will drop back to the prompt and you
can read it

[Freeswitch-users] Problem with a hang up event on transfer.

2009-04-27 Thread mszlazak
Using 13157 and some prior builds, I'm having a problem with the hang up hook
activating on a transfer at the end of the script. The hook is suppose to fire
with hang ups except when the transfer occurs and I thought
setAutoHangup(false) would prevent this but it doesn't. Here is how things are
set up.

session.setHangupHook(on_hangup);

session.setAutoHangup(false);
session.execute(transfer, NOTIFY_ME XML default);
session = undefined;

If setAutoHangup(false) is working correctly then is there a method to unset
the hang up hook before the transfer?

This only makes the call not hangup when the script exits.

it happens on both hangup and transfer
you look at the arg to the hangup hook to tell if it was transfer or hangup
and act accordingly

I just updated and rebuilt FreeSWITCH to the latest trunk, everything

 Also is there any way to stop uuid_broadcast as I'd
 need to stop it somehow if the destination picks up?

 break uuid all
Excellent thanks, this is what I was looking for.

One last question if you don't mind; is there anyway to pull the caller
out of a fifo after a certain time either from api or by setting a
variable (eg. the destination didn't answer after sometime, so carry on
in the dialplan to eg. voicemail)?

Thanks again for your help and time.

There is a uuid_transfer that will allow you to route them accordingly.

Re: [Freeswitch-users] FreeSWITCH under the Linux 2.6.29 kernel

 boot Your kernel with divider=10 nohz=off options :)

 Recent kernels are tickless which basically causes all freeswitch
 timers/sleeps to fire at requested microsecond intervals.
 With nohz kernels You get hundred times more system calls with
 freeswitch :(

Is there anything FreeSWITCH could do about this, i.e., a configuration
parameter to adjust the timers appropriately?

I'm speaking from ignorance here; it just occurs to me that the application
should be able to control this behaviour without kernel options having to be
changed, but perhaps this is not the case.

[Freeswitch-users] any way ring fifo members one by one?

2009-04-27 Thread seven
Hi,

I'm on trunk 13174, and route a call to fifo, but two members ring at
the same time. I want it ring one by one in a round robin manner,
what's wrong with me?

here is fifo.xml

 fifo name=sales_f...@$${domain} importance=0
   member timeout=60 simo=1
lag=20{fifo_member_wait=wait}user/1...@$${domain}/member
   member timeout=60 simo=1
lag=20{fifo_member_wait=wait}user/1...@$${domain}/member
 /fifo

We want to implement a call center where agents register to waiting
customers, when a customer calls in, it will drop in a queue and
search one available agent(in round robin manner). Most fifo functions
seems implemented for scenarios where agents dial in and waiting
callers, which is unnecessary on our condition.

Thanks.
