Re: [Freevo-users] The future of Freevo(.org)
Hi Dirk. Thank you for your proposition. I'm really want to try the Freevo2 and I hope you will help me in it. I was a bit busy but now I'm ready to invest some time in Freevo2. Here is the link on the doc where I'm going to make all notes: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1MSl8gwyQi3Poj-xZ889WsT55WuocwLIcJxP7VrFcBmw/edit?usp=sharing I will do that to allow someone after me ;) to do those steps faster and easier. As I understood from your answer of my previous mail I should install the modules. I'm not sure I understood you properly. Should I do something like python2 setup.py install --root=$pkgdir install, pack kaa-base, kaa-display, kaa-imlib2, kaa-metadata, kaa-epg modules into the distributive packages and install? Should I add into my list of modules what I used for freevo1 any other modules? If yes in what way should I build them? Please let me know what should I do now. I'd pay your attention on next questions (according to your last response): 1. How to install and start Freevo2? Btw, I prefer to use the mplayer. Let me know if you think I should shift to some other player. 2. How to configure it to use specific audio card / outputs? 3. How to configure it to use my RC with already known Windows OS key codes? 4. How to configure my instance of Freevo2 to use specific folders as the input for Video/Audio/Photo sources? 5. Can I configure a couple of web radio channels & how? 6. Can I configure a couple of iptv channels & how? Re: [Freevo-users] The future of Freevo(.org)
Hey, I use the freevo 1.9.2.+ ... but I could try to play with Freevo 2.0 in case if someone will share his knowledge how to install & configure the new version of Freevo. Can you do me a favor and point me on some short guide/piece of text from what I can start? And, to not waste of my time please update me with a short review of mandatory features: recorder (I have mpeg2 TV card), video player (any formats), photo show, tv guide viewer + setter to record, USB (the Windows OS keys should be remapped) RC configuration. Re: [Freevo-users] an upgrade from 1.9.0 to freevo1-git
Hi Adam, After your post I tried to use the 1.9.2b2 from SF. Firstly I tried with the default public kaa framework (all libs) without success because they are old for that version of freevo. After that I tried the same with the git versions of kaa what I successfully use with freevo1-git. But the git versions of kaa are not suitable too. Can you explain or give a link to info (it will be better because anyone can use it in future) in what way kaa should be exported and compiled? [Freevo-users] an upgrade from 1.9.0 to freevo1-git
Hi. A couple of weeks ago I started to move current freevo 1.9.0 env. to freevo1-git. When I was doing it I found not so much info how to do it. And now, when I finally already started recordserver, freevo UI + remote control with multikeys support, TV guide with non-zero timezone I'd like to share that info and to ask someone how to fix all the bugs what I already found. Is there a way to add bugs and to start communication with someone to fix at least some of them? BTW, when I tried to add a bug on sf site I found I don't have such permissions. Can anyone help me with it? Also, if I already prepared some patches in what way can I commit/send them to the project? -- Thanks, Valeriy. -- Master Visual Studio, SharePoint, SQL, ASP.NET, C# 2012, HTML5, CSS, MVC, Windows 8 Apps, JavaScript and much more. I'm sorry, but this weekend I tried to do the same with the latest version of kaa (from svn) and got the same message (in addition to inability do build on machine with already installed previous version of kaa). Could you point the exact version of svn repo when is was fixed? -- Regards, Valeriy -- Protect Your Site and Customers from Malware Attacks Learn about various malware tactics and how to avoid them. [Freevo-users] external audio in fxd (archlinux, standard package, 1.9.0, utf-8)
Hello everybody! #1 I have he 1.avi video and the external audio track for it - uk.wav. To play video with an external audio I though to use fxd - solution. I made next file: 1.avi uk.wav accordingly to freevo web site explanation. Unfortunatelly I couldn't start mplayer because that itme in freevo didn't have the "play" action. What I did wrong? #2 But, I made one more fxd which gave me an opportunity to see the length of video and to start the player. My second fxd is: 1.avi I got the error (when mplayer starts the current path in freevo doesn't equal to the folder in which the video itself placed): File not found: 'uk.wav' Failed to open uk.wav.
